HRANA News Agency – Based on a verdict issued by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, political activist, Mohammad Mozaffari was sentenced to two years imprisonment, 20 million IRR fine and 74 lashes.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Mozaffari, who had been tried by Judge Salvati in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court on May 3, was sentenced to imprisonment, fine and lashes.
According to the decree, Mohammad Mozaffari, political activist has been sentenced to two years imprisonment, 20 million IRR fine and 74 lashes.
The lawyers of this political activist, Dr. Nemat Ahmadi and Mrs. Zainab Mozaffari have appealed the sentence and the case will be referred to the Court of Appeal.
Mr. Mozaffari has been charged of “propaganda against the regime”, “assembly and collusion”, “membership in the Students and Graduates Branch of Iran National Front”, “insulting the Leadership”, “supporting political prisoners and their families”, “supporting mothers of Laleh Park” and “use and maintenance of satellite equipment”.
Mohammad Mozaffari was arrested on February 15, 2015 and was transferred to ward 2-A in Evin prison. After 3 months when the interrogations were finished, he was transferred to ward 8 and after 5 months he was released on the bail on July 12, 2015.
