No Information about Zartosht Ahmad Ragheb’s Situation

HRANA News Agency – Zartosht (Ismail) Ahmad Ragheb, civil rights activist who was arrested on November 13, 2016, only informed his family that he was being kept in ward 209 of Evin prison by a phone call and his situation is unknown.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on November 13, 2016, Zartosht (Ismail) Ahmad Ragheb was arrested by plainclothes security forces and the next day, he informed his family that he was being kept in ward 209 of Evin prison by a phone call and his situation is unknown.
A close source to the Ahmadi family told HRANA’s reporter, “Zartosht’s family had no news from him and they live in fear since Novomber 14.”
This civil activist already has a history of arrests and convictions for his peaceful activities.
First branch of the Revolutionary Court has sentenced Zartosht Ahmadi to six months in prison, on charges of propaganda against the system by publishing critical articles on his personal Facebook on February 16, 2016.
Zartosht Ahmadi Ragheb was arrested along with a number of civil rights activists in a gathering in front of Dena Tire, and was transferred to ward 8 of Evin prison, on November 23, 2016. The gathering was formed for advocacy and support of political prisoners.
