HRANA News Agency – Following the arrest of Sahar Beheshti and her husband, on the occasion of his dead brother’s birthday (Sattar Beheshti) on August 26, Gohar Eshghi, Sattar’s mother and a group of civil rights activists went to the police station in Robat Karim where Mohammad Mozaffari one of the activists was arrested and interrogated and abandoned after half an hour in the wilderness surrounding area. Sahar Beheshti was questioned by the judge on duty in Parand court.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on August 26, following the announcement of the birth ceremony of Sattar Beheshti, security forces surrounded his father’s house and prevented the attendants of entering the house. Also, Sahar Beheshti, sister of Sattar Beheshti and her husband, Mostafa Eslami have been arrested “while being beaten” and transferred to the police station in Robat Karim.
A close source to Beheshti family in this regard explained to the HRANA’s reporter: “After arresting Sahar Beheshti and her husband, Gohar Eshghi, Sattar’s mother and a group of civil rights activists went to the police station in Robat Karim but they responded that they did not know anything. We went to the Intelligence Ministry and they said they did not know anything. Officials said they’d release them in an hour. Mohammad Mozaffari and Nasser Ashjari went to follow-up by the security police who arrested Mohammad Mozaffari. Mr. Ashjari’s car license was confiscated by the police.”
The source stressed that Gohar Eshghi, Sattar Beheshti’s mother, has not been arrested and added: “Mohammad Mozaffari was abandoned after half an hour in the wilderness surrounding area and Sahar Beheshti was questioned by the judge on duty in Parand court but her husband was released. While police have said they had no right to hold such a ceremony and transferred Gohar Eshghi by car to the house.”
Sattar Beheshti, blogger and young worker was arrested because of his activities in the virtual space by Cyber Police and died in detention under mental and physical tortures.
