HRANA – At dawn today, Wednesday, September 30, the death sentences of two prisoners who had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges were carried out in Kerman Prison.

According to HRANA, citing the Baloch Human Rights Documentation Network, two prisoners were executed today, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in Kerman Prison.

The prisoners have been identified as Ali Alizehi, approximately 43 years old, father of two, and a resident of Zahedan, and Abdolhamid Shiehaki, approximately 45 years old, father of three, and a resident of Rigan.

According to the report, Mr. Alizehi was arrested approximately eight years ago in Bam County on drug-related charges and was subsequently sentenced to death by the Kerman Revolutionary Court. Abdolhamid Shiehaki was also arrested in Kerman approximately four years ago on similar charges and sentenced to death.

As of the time of this report, the executions of these prisoners have not been announced by the relevant authorities or prison officials.

According to HRA’s Annual Report, in 2025 at least 2,063 citizens, including 61 women and 2 juvenile offenders, were executed. Of these, the sentences of 11 individuals were carried out in public. During the same period, 172 other individuals were sentenced to death.
