HRANA News Agency – At least 16 prisoners, on charges of drug related crimes, armed robbery, and murder, were hanged in two prisons.
Human Rights organisations, earlier, had urged Iranian government to stop the execution of prisoners of drug related offences.

HRANA News Agency – The health condition of Ali Ebadi Jamkhaneh, political prisoner who has recently been exiled to prison in Sarakhs, is critical.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Ebadi, political prisoner who has just been exiled to the prison in Sarakhs, on Sunday 25th January, following a drop in his blood pressure was transferred to I. HRANA News Agency – Two political prisoners of Vakil Abad Prison in Mashhad have been exiled to Dargaz and Sarakhs prisons and they are held incommunicado.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Ebadi, political prisoner of Vakil Abad Prison in Mashhad, was exiled to Sarakhs prison without notice or judicial verdict, while he had only 4 months to finish his sentence.
