Ali Ebadi Transferred to Hospital

HRANA News Agency – The health condition of Ali Ebadi Jamkhaneh, political prisoner who has recently been exiled to prison in Sarakhs, is critical.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Ebadi, political prisoner who has just been exiled to the prison in Sarakhs, on Sunday 25th January, following a drop in his blood pressure was transferred to I. C. U. in Loghman Hakim hospital in Sarakhs.
An informed source in this regard told HRANA’s reporter: “In a phone call on 26th January, one of prisoners contacted Ali Ebadi’s wife and informed her that since Sunday he had a high blood pressure because of prison’s very salty foods and for the second time, after being transferred to this prison which is not so long, was transferred to I. C. U. in Loghman Hakim hospital and was admitted there. However, this problem can be controlled jus by reducing the amount of salt in the prison’s food, but prison authorities have done nothing to improve his health condition by changing his diet.”
Mr Ali Ebadi Jamkhaneh, 64, who has a record of 15 years imprisonment at the time of Shah and 80s was arrested is March 2009 and charged with “acting against the national security” and sentenced to 6 years imprisonment and 10 years exile to Khalkhal.
This political prisoner was transferred to Sarakhs prison far from his family on 28th October, without any notice to his family while he had only 4 month left of his sentence.
