A Campaign Has Begun in Support of Imprisoned Teachers in Iran

HRANA News Agency – Teachers Association of Iran, Tehran (ITTA), has announced the launch of a campaign calling to put an end to the imprisonment of 2 teachers; Rasool Bodaghi and Mahmoud Bagheri.

3 Political Prisoners Sent to Furlough from Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Nasoor Naghipoor, Alireza Beheshti and Mahmoud Bagheri, 3 prisoners of Ward 350 of Evin prison, were sent on leave.

Prisoners in section 350 of Evin prison are on strike

HRANA News Agency – Twenty five prisoners in ward 350 of Evin prison denied to have visitors and protested when 10 of their cellmates have been transferred to solitaire.
 
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), right after transferring 10 prisoners of ward 50 to solitaire cells of ward 240, the prisoners in ward 350 started strike and more than 25 of them did boycott the visit time as its the basic right of the prisoners and they did visit their families on Monday as a protest action. Mokhtar Assadi and Mahmoud Bagheri Continue to be Denied Visitation Rights

HRANA- Although two months have passed since the arrest of teacher’s union members Mokhtar Assadi and Mahmoud Bagheri, they continue to be denied visitation rights.

HRANA has learned that officials are not responding to inquiries made by their families regarding the restrictions in place or their charges.The two union activists have been allowed only three or four very brief phone calls to their families since their arrest and transfer to ward 209 of Evin Prison.
