4 Women Transferred to Solitary Confinements of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Tahereh Riyahi, Masoumeh Zia, Mahsa Raja`ti, and Mehrak Karimpoor, 4 civil rights activists were transferred from women’s ward in Evin prison to solitary confinements in ward 241 (security of judiciary). Ms. Karimpoor returned to the ward one day later, but three others are still in solitary confinement of ward 241, and due to this reason were deprived of visiting their families.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), four civil rights activists who are imprisoned in women’s ward in Evin prison with the name of Tahereh Riyahi, Masoumeh (Pegah) Zia, Mahsa Raja`ti, and Mehrak Karimpoor Andalibi are transferred to ward 241 of judiciary for unknown reasons. 4 Activists Transferred to Women’s Ward of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Tahereh Riyahi, Masoumeh Zia, Mahsa Raj`ati, and Mehrak Karimpoor are four civil rights activists who were mainly active in the field of news coverage, and were arrested in late December and early January. They were transferred to general female ward after more than two months, from solitary confinement of ward 209.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mahsa Ra`ati, 36, was arrested on January 2, Tahereh Riyahi, 35, journalist and editor of Borna press was arrested on January 4, Masoumeh (Pegah) Zia, 39, was arrested on January 4 and Mehrak Karimpoor Andalibi, 24, was arrested on December 27.
