HRANA News Agency – On Tuesday, May 20, Farid Rafeh, a resident of Rask, was arrested by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to HRANA, citing Rasank News, a citizen was detained in the city of Rask.

The individual has been identified as Farid Rafeh, 26 years old, and a native of Rask.

According to the report, Mr. Rafeh was arrested with the use of force by security forces on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. He was detained without a judicial warrant while visiting the city’s marketplace for personal errands.

As of now, no information is available regarding the charges against him or his whereabouts.

Mahim Askani Arrested by Security Forces in Rask

On Saturday, August 31, Mahim Askani, a resident of Rask County, was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location, according to Haal Vsh.

The individual has been identified as Mahim Askani, father of two, and a resident of a village in the Pishin district of Rask County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

Mr. Askani was reportedly arrested by IRGC Intelligence forces on the morning of Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his shop.

So far, no information has been obtained regarding the reasons for his arrest or his current whereabouts.

According to data collected by the Department of Statistics and Publication of HRA in 2023, Sistan and Baluchestan Province accounted for 5.63% of reported human rights violations, including instances of arbitrary detentions.

On Saturday, August 31, Hesam Dorzadeh Naz, a 16-year-old teenager from Rask, was arrested by military forces in this city and transferred to an undisclosed location, as reported by the Baloch Activists Campaign.

His identity has been reported as Hesam Dorzadeh-Naz, 16 years old, a resident of the Pishin district of Rask County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

Imam of Friday Prayer in Rask Apprehended by Security Forces

Fathi Mohammad Naghshbandi, the Imam of Friday Prayer in Rask, has been arrested by security forces on August 20, according to a report by Rasank News.

Naghshbandi’s arrest reportedly occurred during his journey from Rask to Chah Bahar. Agents from both the IRGC intelligence and the Ministry of Intelligence allegedly coordinated with the Chah Bahar oil company to summon Naghshbandi to Chah Bahar under the pretext of collecting his fuel allocation for his vehicle and his family members. Subsequently, security forces intercepted and detained him along the route.

The exact location where Naghshbandi is being held remains undisclosed. The nature of the charges against him has yet to be revealed.

It’s worth noting that Naghshbandi had previously received summons from judicial authorities, indicating a prior interaction with legal proceedings.

On June 23, 2023, in Rask, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, dozens of individuals attending Friday Prayer were arrested by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to HRANA, the news agency of Human Rights Activists, quoting Haal Vsh, in Rask, about 50 people coming from nearby villages to attend Friday prayer and following march were arrested.

The identities of those detained remain unknown, and the reasons for their arrests, as well as the allegations involved, are currently shrouded in uncertainty.

On April 12, 2023, security forces arrested Hafez Omar Askani in Rask County and took him to an undisclosed location.

According to HRANA, the news agency of Human Rights Activists, on April 12, 2023, quoting Haal Vsh, 25-year-old Hafez Omar Askani was arrested by security forces in Rask County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

Security forces reportedly arrested Askani at his workplace and did not show any arrest warrant.

Askani’s location and the allegations against him are still unknown.

 

Sunni Hossein Askani Arrested in Rask

On April 2, 2023, security forces arrested Sunni citizen Hossein Askani in Rask and took him to an undisclosed location.

According to HRANA, the news agency of Human Rights Activists, on April 2, quoting the Baloch Activists Campaign, Hossein Askani was arrested in Rask, Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

20-year-old Askani reportedly was apprehended by IRGC forces while returning from a religious school along with several other students.

The report speculates that his arrest is related to his activities in the religious group Tablighi Jamaat. (Society of Preachers)
