HRANA – Reza Akbari Adl and Mohammad Esmaeili Allafi, two attorneys and members of the East Azerbaijan Bar Association, were arrested yesterday, October 18, after being summoned to the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Tabriz. They were subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to HRANA, two attorneys were arrested in Tabriz on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

According to information received by HRANA, Reza Akbari Adl and Mohammad Esmaeili Allafi were arrested after appearing at the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Tabriz.

Despite efforts by the families and colleagues of the two attorneys to obtain information, judicial authorities and security agencies have so far provided no details regarding the reasons for their arrests or their fate.

As of the time of this report, the whereabouts of the two attorneys remain unknown.
