HRANA News Agency – Two activists from Tabriz were arrested by the intelligence forces and two other were sentenced to four months in prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Morteza Shaebani Khalkhali and Behnam Sheikh Baglo, two Turkish (Azeri) activists were arrested and Ali Hamzezadeh and Millad Akbari were sentenced to four months in prison.
On November 12, Morteza Shaebani Khalkhali was aarested while taking pictures of the Ark Castle in Tabriz.
Also Behnam Sheikh Baglo was arrested on November 10. Mr. Sheikh Baglo in a two-minute phone call with his family informed them about his whereabouts at the intelligence agency, but the reason for his arrest is not known.
On November 11, Ali Hamzezadeh and Millad Akbari were sentenced to four months in prison at branch 1 of Tabriz Revolutionary Court presided over by Judge Hamlbar.
On July 1, the two activists from Tabriz had been arrested after being summoned by the Ministry of Intelligence and after attending the office. Akbari and Hamzezadeh were released temporarily on the bail on July 16 and July 17.
