Ahmad Karimi Deprived of Having Parole

HRANA News Agency – Ahmad Karimi, political prisoner, who has been in prison since 6 years ago and is now in exile in Gonbad Kawoos prison, is deprived of having leave or parole.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ahmad Karimi, political prisoner in exile, in ward 1 of Gonbade Kawoos prison, is one of the 2009 detainees, and although he has been in prison about 6 years, but he is still denied to go on leave and have parole.
One of his relatives told HRANA’s reporter: “Another inmate, who had been arrested regarding the same case, was released, and when we talked to Khoda Bakhshi about Ahmad’s freedom, he told us; Ministry of Intelligence does not agree with Ahmed’s aabsolution.”
Remarkably, Ahmad Karimi is one of those who had a group trial in an exhibitive court after the election in June 2009, and he was sentenced to death by Judge Salavati, while Ahmad Karimi had been arrested before the elections in April. However, Ahmad Karimi’s sentence was reduced to 15 years imprisonment and exile to Gonbad Kawoos by appeal court.
