6 Prisoners Executed in Urmia

HRANA News Agency – The death sentences of 6 prisoners who were charged with drug related crimes and had been transferred to solitary confinements, was executed in the Central Prison of Urmia.

A Brief Report on the Repression of Labor Activists on the May Day

HRANA News Agency – In attempting to hold a May Day celebration across the country, at least 12 workers were arrested in different cities of Iran and four others were summoned, as well as many of the gatherings were prevented by the security guards or police forces.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), trade unions and active institutions in the field of workers have announced the arrest of at least 12 people and 4 labor activists being summoned to the security forces.  A number of detainees were released and there is no information about the fate of several people. 2 Prisoners Executed in Urmia Prison

HRANA News Agency – Two of the six prisoners who had been sentenced to death, were executed following lack of consent by the plaintiff in the Central Prison of Urmia, and the other four were returned to the general ward.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), two of six prisoners, who had been taken to solitary confinement in the Central Prison of Urmia, were executed and two of them obtained the plaintiff’s consents and the other two received respite for one month and for 5 days respectively. Zanjan University Students’ Sit-In Goes on

HRANA News Agency – Following the denial of delivering food to students in Zanjan University’s dormitory, just because of a delay of 4 minutes at 2pm on Thursday, a sit in started by two students and then it continued after a number of students joined them.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), heretofore the food distribution time and strict rules of university were protested by the majority of students, as the news of the sit-in in the Mountain self-service (old) in Zanjan University spread at the dinner time, the number of demanding students reached to more than forty people and the number of participants in the sit-in gradually increased. At Least 2 Prisoners Executed in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – At least two prisoners were executed in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, and a number of other prisoners were returned to the cell from the gallows.

Mahmood Masoomi Transferred to Ward 2-A of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mahmood Masoomi, a student who was arrested during a protest in front of Dena Tire building, and had been transferred to Great Prison of Tehran, was transferred to ward 2-A in Evin prison, with a detention warrant for two months, issued by Shahid Moghadas court.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), some of the followers of Mohammad Ali Taheri, founder of Halghe Theosophy, were arrested during a protest in front of Dena Tire building, on Thursday May 12. Mahmood Masoomi is one of these arrestees who had his first interrogation session in Shahid Moghadas court of Evin prison on Saturday May 14. Saeid Norouzi; 9 Months of Detention in Solitary Confinement

HRANA News Agency – After 9 months of detention in solitary confinement of ward number 7 of Evin prison, Saeid Norouzi is still in limbo.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saeid Norouzi, prisoner of ward number 7 in hall number 12 of Evin prison, while spending two months in solitary confinement in an unknown location and 7 months in ward 7, has been summoned multiple times to branch number 15 of the revolutionary court by judge Salavati. Maryam Naghash Zargaran in Critical Health Condition in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Maryam (Nasim) Naghash Zargaran, political prisoner of women’s ward of Evin prison has constant dizziness and pain in her ear. The doctors in prison’s clinic told her after primary treatment that she should not move her head for two weeks, and if the condition remained the same, she had to undergo a surgery. This is while the prosecutor is rejecting the request for medical furlough.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), despite the critical condition of Maryam (Nasim) Naghash Zargaran, imprisoned Christion in women’s ward of Evin prison, her transfer to a medical center outside of prison is being prevented.
