HRANA News Agency – Ardebil Prison is one of the prisons in the country which punishes the prisoners in inhumane ways. For several times during the past year, the authorities of the prison have chained prisoners to the rods for a day.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Meysam Saber, prisoner of the central prison of Ardabil, was chained to the rods in the quarantine section of the prison on September 23, 2017, following the protests against the behavior of the prison guard. Two Christians Arrested in Tehran
HRANA News Agency – Security forces in Tehran, arrested a Christian couple after summoning them to the intelligence ministry. These Christians have been accused of performing according to rituals and Christianity in a funeral in Beheaht-e-Zahra.

3 Sunni Prisoners on Trial in Urmia
HRANA News Agency – Anvar Khezri, Kamran Shikhe and Khosro Besharat three Sunni prisoners who have been jailed since 2009 and their death sentences were rejected by the Supreme Court in 2016, were transferred to Urmia prison from Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj to be tried again.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Anvar Khezri, Kamran Shikhe and Khosro Besharat three Sunni prisoners who along with Davood Abdollahi, Farhad Salimi, Ghasem Abbeste and Ayoub Karimi have been jailed since December 7, 2009, were transferred to Urmia prison from Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj. Part 41 of Behesht-e-Zahra: Broken Graves of Political Opponents
HRANA News Agency – Part 41 of Behesht-e-Zahra cemetery is among the most famous burial places where a large number of critics and opponents of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially the executed prisoners, have been buried. This place has been subjected to destruction and disrespect throughout the years after the revolution. Recently some news of the possibility of further destruction of this part has been published in the media.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), you would not see any explanations about the people buried in the graves. Perhaps the most eloquent explanation is the “Broken Tombstones” of part 41.
Most of the gravestones are completely crushed and it’s hard to read their writings. Some survivors have put the bouquet of flowers, some chocolate or fruit for charity on the same stones.
This part is deliberately kept dry unlike the abacus and green parts of Behesht-e-Zahra, its rubbish is not collected and cleaned, its graves are mostly without signs or with crushed stones and even those who refer to these parts to visit the graves of their loved ones had experienced a hefty security environment.

A Report about Hassan Rastgari’s Situation in Uremia Prison
HRANA News Agency – Hassan Rastegari Majd, Iranian-Turkish citizen and political prisoner in Urmia Central Prison, who has been sentenced to 24 years in three separate cases, has an unfavorable medical condition. The prisoner who had gone on hunger strike in protest against his legal situation, accused the judicial authorities and in particular prosecutor’s office with not doing what he promised to do.

Evin Prison’s Clinic Refusing to Treat Atena Daemi
Herana News Agency – While social networks in recent days are reporting and following the status of Alireza Rajaie, a former political prisoner whose illness led to advanced cancer due to lack of attention from prison authorities, and in spite of the fact that the judiciary’s spokesman does not admit their responsibility for such deficiencies, Atena Daemi, for the similar reasons is suffering from simple kidney and gallbladder problems that began several months ago, which has the potential injuries for bile ducts due to retaliation by the head of Evin’s infirmary.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), in late May, at the end of the Atena Daemi’s hunger strike, a specialist physician at an out-of-prison clinic visited this prisoner and because of gallbladder problems, ordered her to be admitted to hospital. However, with the intervention of Evin Prison infirmary and “Abbas Khani”, head of the infirmary who accused Ms. Daemi of simulation, she was returned to the prison and did not get the necessary medical services. Protestors Arrested in front of Rajai Shahr Prison of Karaj
HRANA News Agency – While the situation of detainees in hall 10 of Rajai Shahr prison still remains unclear, a number of civil activists were also present in front of the prison to show their solidarity with them on September 13, 2017. The peaceful presence of these activists was drawn to violence by police forces and some were arrested.
