HRANA News Agency – Hassan Rastegari Majd, Iranian-Turkish citizen and political prisoner in Urmia Central Prison, who has been sentenced to 24 years in three separate cases, has an unfavorable medical condition. The prisoner who had gone on hunger strike in protest against his legal situation, accused the judicial authorities and in particular prosecutor’s office with not doing what he promised to do.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Hassan Rastegari Majd has been detained since 2013 and sentenced to about 24 years in prison and lashes for three cases. In recent weeks, the prisoner has called to investigate his legal situation and his medical problems by a lot of legal correspondence and contact with the Turkish Consulate. HRANA News Agency – Hassan Rastgari Majd, an Iranian-born Turkish citizen and political prisoner in Urmia Central Prison, ended his hunger strike on its thirty-second day with the judicial authorities’ favourable promise.

Hassan Rastgari Majd on Hunger Strike in Urmia Prison
HRANA News Agency – Hassan Rastgari Majd, an Iranian-born Turkish citizen and political prisoner at Urmia Central Prison, has gone on hunger strike to protest against his long term imprisonment sentences and making new cases for him in the prison. Mr. Rastgari was transferred to solitary confinement by prison authorities.

Hassan Rastgari Majd Beaten in Urmia Prison
HRANA News Agency – Hassan Rastgari Majd, political prisoner in Urmia Prison was beaten by prison guards. A number of his teeth were broken. Mr. Rastgari is suffering of vision problems and also hand fracture.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the political prisoner in Urmia Prison was beaten by two of prison guards after he insisted on his request of being transferred to the political prisoners’ ward, based on the principal of separation of crimes.
