Baha’i Situation in Marvdasht

April 28, 2010

HRA News Agency – Some officers of the Office of Amakin (Bureau of Premises—in charge of morality in public places and offices) of Marvdasht have recently contacted the Bahá’ís of Marvdasht asking them to disclose the names of working Bahá’ís.

These individuals refused to provide the officers with the names and subsequently were subjected to insults and verbal abuse by the officers.  In early April, an orchard that belonged to three Bahá’ís of Marvdasht was destroyed and the trees were all uprooted or chopped down.
