Tensions Grow in Sanandaj Prison Because of Closure of the Gym

HRANA News Agency – Sanandaj Prison’s gym was closed down some time ago, and its absence has deprived the prisoners of the opportunity to exercise, which caused the protest of several prisoners of the prison. At the last objection by a prisoner representing the crowd, the authorities reacted violently at him and sent him to the prison clinic with the assault on the imprisoned prisoner. The prison clinic had stitch up 25 stitches to the prisoner and closed his hands in a way that it was likely to be broken. The prisoner is currently being held in solitary confinement for the purpose of eliminating the signs of the beatings.

15-Year-Old Girl Arrested by the Intelligence Office of Abadan

HRANA News Agency – A 15-year-old girl in Abadan was arrested by intelligence forces at her high school and transferred to the detention center of Ahvaz intelligence ministry.

A Report about the Situation in the Central Prison of Zahedan

HRANA News Agency – The central prison of Zahedan with a population of more than 3,500 prisoners, faces serious health and medical problems, including lack of access to medical facilities and medical services, as well as a double exclusion from health facilities. Prisoners of this prison suffer from many problems, such as non-separation of crimes and excessive populations. Their protests have had no results so far.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the central prison of Zahedan has 11 wards with a population of more than 3,500 prisoners with different crimes including dozens of political prisoners. A Prisoner Sent to Quarantine for Disability to Pay for the Medical Treatment

HRANA News Agency – A death row prisoner in central prison of Zahedan who suffered from pain and illness in the eye, was harassed and exiled to the quarantine ward by the order of authorities when he could not pay 800000 IRR for the cost of the test.

Amanj Weisi Saved from Execution after 11 Years

HRANA News Agency – Amanaj Weisi, juvenile offender who was arrested on charge of murder when was 15 years old and sentenced to death, was finally saved from execution after 11 years in jail and legal struggle by the help of his lawyer and Supreme Court’s verdict, and sentenced to 3 years imprisonment.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Amanaj Weisi, born in 1991, was arrested on charge of murder of his cousin when was 15 years old and sentenced to death. Vahid Pour Tahmaseb Sentenced to 11 Years of Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Vahid Pour Tahmaseb, follower of Mohammad Ali Taheri, has been sentenced to 11 years imprisonment, according to the verdict given to him in the Revolutionary Court of Babol on October 4, 2017.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Vahid Pour Tahmaseb was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment on charges of “membership in the group and the population with the aim of disrupting the security of the country” and 1 year imprisonment on charge of “advertising activity in favor of opposition groups” according to the verdict which was notified to on October 4, 2017. Atena Daemi Received Medical Treatment after a Long Delay

HRANA News Agency – Atena Daemi civic activist in Evin prison was eventually hospitalized and underwent a surgery in Tehran with a long delay after several cancellations of medical programs on October 8, 2017. The previous deportation was canceled by the authorities because of her refusal to close the bracelets and pendants in the surgery room.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after a long period of misery at clinic of Evin Prison, Atena Daemi was able to be sent to the hospital and be under the surgical removal of the gallbladder. Her previous surgery appointment on September 25, 2017 was canceled due to her refusal to close the bracelets and pendants in the surgery room. HRANA -The Center of Statistics at Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRAI) has published a report regarding the recent seven days of protests in Iran which occurred from December 28, 2017 to January 03, 2018. Currently, we have reports on the extent of the protests and the names of arrested individuals as of January 09, 2018.

At the time of compiling this report, the Iranian State had not provided a conclusive report of the protests and it’s under currents. Therefore, this report should be deemed as a cursory review and a collection of the reports of the events rather than a singularly comprehensive one.
