Maryam Naghash Zargaran Returned to Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – Maryam Naghash Zargaran (also known as Nasim), an imprisoned Christian convert, who had been released on medical leave, went back to Evin prison midway through her treatment as attorney general refused to extend her furlough and threatened to confiscate the bail collateral.
Maryam was granted medical leave on June 6, marking her 11th day of hunger strike. She was forced to interrupt her treatment and head back to Evin prison right after attorney general refused to extend her leave and threatened to confiscate the bail collateral of 3,500,000,000 IRR. HRANA News Agency – A new case has been opened against Hassan Rastgari, political prisoner in Central Prison of Urmia, following the warden’s complaint against him. He had a hearing in the Revolutionary Court in Urmia.

Jaber Sakhravi’s Sentence Reduced to 12 Years and 5 Months
HRANA News Agency – Jaber Sakhravi’s sentence of 14 years and six months imprisonment was reduced to 12 years and 5 months by branch 16 of the Court of Appeal in Ahwaz. However, after two strokes, general health condition of Jaber Sakhravi in Shiban prison in Ahwaz has been reported as inappropriate.

4 Civil Rights Activists’ Trial Postponed
HRANA News Agency – Because of the absence of two of the three judges as well as the absence of one of the defendants, the hearing of appeal court for civil activists, Atena Daemi, Omid Alishenas, Aso Rostami, Ali Nouri and Mohammad Hossein Daemi (Athena’s father) was postponed to August 3. This hearing was scheduled to be held in Branch 36 of the Appeals Court of Tehran Province on July 5.

Kamran Jafari under Pressure in Urmia Prison

A Report about the Situation of Pourmansouri Family
HRANA News Agency – Pourmansouri family were part of a group of 18 who were incidentally involved in hijacking an airplane without prior notice, the goal of which was simply getting rid of poverty, unemployment and economic problems after the Iran-Iraq war. After 16 years, these families still face the consequences and some of their children are still in prison including “Shahram Pourmansouri”, who was 16 years old at that time.

Saeed Sangar’s Sentence Reduced to 18 Years
HRANA News Agency – The life time imprisonment sentence for Saeed Sangar, political prisoner, was reduced to 18 years in the sixteenth year of his imprisonment in Urmia prison. Following the announcement and by considering the remaining two years and one month of his sentence, the date to release him would be July 26, 2018. Mr. Sangar has spent most of his imprisonment in exile in various prisons and in solitary confinement.
According to the announcement of Branch 4 of law enforcement office in Sananadj, the life time imprisonment sentence for Saeed Sangar, political prisoner, was reduced to 18 years in the sixteenth year of his imprisonment in Urmia prison. 2 Arab Prisoners Released from Ardabil Central Prison
HRANA News Agency – Shahab Abbasi and Hadi Albukhanfarnejad, two Arab citizens from Shahdegan, were released from the Central Prison of Ardabil by the end of their imprisonment sentences.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Shahab Abbasi had been arrested along with his brother Ghazi Abbasi, and Abdulreza Amir Khanafereh, Abdulamir Mojadami, Jasem Moghadam Panah, Hadi Albukhanfarnejad, and Sami Jadmawinejad from Shadegan, in Khuzestan province, by the security forces of intelligence service.
