Executions of 5 Prisoners in Bam Prison Postponed for a Week

HRANA News Agency – Execution of 5 prisoners, who were charged with drug related crimes and were sentenced to death, has been postponed for one week in Bam prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on Saturday 3rd January, 5 prisoners in Bam prison, who were charged with drug related crime and were sentenced to death, were transferred to solitary confinement so that on Sunday their sentences would be carried out. HRANA News Agency – Atena Dayemi, civil rights and children’s rights activist, is still being kept in solitary confinement after nearly three months.

Interrogation of 43 Prisoners after Publishing a Letter

HRANA News Agency – After writing and publishing help – request letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations and Human Rights Organisations by 45 Security-Political Prisoners, Intelligence service at Evin prison summoned 43 of them from ward 7 to its office and interrogated them.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after publishing of “the help-request letter of 45 Security-Political Prisoners at Quarantine section of Ward 7 at Evin Prison to the United Nations and Human Right organisations” with regards to attending to inhumane living condition of these prisoners who have been transferred from Ward 350 to the dungeon of Ward 7, massive attempts by Intelligence Services and Prosecution Office initiated at this Ward. Two Death-Row Ill Sunni prisoners Transferred to Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Syed Hadi Hosseini (left) and Seddigh Mohammadi (right), two Sunni prisoners with psychological illnesses on death-row in Iran, were transferred to Rajai Shahr prison earlier today.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the two men, who had been sentenced to death for ‘Moharabeh [enmity against God] through supporting Salafi groups’, had been held in appalling conditions in the notorious Ghezel Hesar prison near Tehran for the past two years. Behnam Ebrahimzadeh Sentenced to another 9 Years in Prison

HRANA News Agency – Behnam Ebrahimzadeh has been sentenced to another 9 years in prison in relation to the events of “Black Thursday” of ward 350 in Evin prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam Ebrahimzadeh was transferred to ward 209 in Evin prison after the incidents in ward 350 of Evin Prison in April last year, which is known as “Black Thursday”, and his home was searched. Ministry of Intelligence, in this regard, has opened a new case for this political prisoner that led to another 9 and a half years imprisonment sentence for him.
