HRANA News Agency – Akbar Azad, the Azeri activist who was arrested on International Mother Tongue’s Day, has been released on bail.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Akbar Azad, the Azeri political activist, who was arrested on charge of having speech on Internanioal Mother Tongue’s Day in Tehran last March and was transferred to Evin prison has been released on 150 million Tomans bail, on Saturday, May 17. HRANA News Agency – Hamid Manafi, the Azerbaijaniani political activist was transferred to the clinic of Evin prison clinic because of his physical deterioration for the second time since his arrest.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Manafi was transferred to solitary confinement from general ward because of going on hunger strike since May 12. Later on, three days after he started Dry Hunger Strike, he was transferred to prison’s clinic as his physical condition was critical. HRANA News Agency – Prison officials have prevented Kamran Rahimiyan and Fuad Khanjani, two Bahai prisoners in Raja’i Shahr prison, from meeting members of their families who are imprisoned in Tehran’s Evin Prison.

HRANA News Agency – 11 prisoners have been hanged in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj on May 10, on charge of drug trafficking.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the prisoners were transferred from ward 2 to the solitary confinements of Ghezel Hesar Prison on May 8 and the official Iranian media have not published the report of these executions yet. According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hassan Taffah, 85 years old, is suffering from blood cancer and arthritis in the neck was transferred to the hospital on Wednesday May 15, however he was sent back to the prison after 24 hours without getting proper medical treatment.
