Ahmad Reza Jalali Transferred to Ward 240 of Evin Prison
RANA News Agency – Ahmad Reza Jalali, a researcher and medical doctor and a former resident of Sweden who has been held in detention on security charges, since May 2016, was recently transferred from ward 209 to ward 240 of Evin Prison after announcing a hunger strike. The family of this Iranian-Swedish citizen has no information about him and is concerned about his fate.

Poor Food Program in Tabriz Central Prison
HRANA News Agency – Since more than a month and a half ago, the diet which “includes cheese for breakfast, only rice for lunch, soup for dinner” has been served in Tabriz prison. This meal plan has been served under the pretext of repairing the kitchen by officials of the prison while most inmates could not afford to buy food from the prison shop and were malnourished. On the other hand, according to the families of the prisoners, the prisoners were prevented from being sent to the clinic with intestinal problems.

Gholam Reza (Rubin) Shahini Beaten and Transferred to Solitary Confinement
HRANA News Agency – On February 15, 2017, Gholam Reza (Robin) Shahini, an Iranian-American citizen in Gorgan prison was beaten and insulted by prison guardsand transferred to solitary confinement after announcement of hunger strike has. The condition of Mr. Shahini, who suffers from asthma is not known since being transferred to solitary confinement.
An informed source about the condition of Gholam Reza (Robin) Shahini told HRANA’s reporter: “on February 15, 2017, the prison officials took to the ward and beat Reza and insulted him, for example, told him ‘you are a hostage, you thought you are American? New Radio Jammer Machines in Rajai Shahr Prison Put Prisoners’ Health at Risk
HRANA News Agency – With the installation of numerous devices of Mobile crushers (Radio Jammer machines), on the roof of Hall 12, the whereabouts of security-political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, some medical problems, including headaches and dizziness for these prisoners have been more intensive. This issue has caused a number of the prisoners to go to the prison infirmary, in recent days. Prison officials have said the aim of installing this device was to make problems for the illegal phones that might be used by the prisoners. This claim is while the inspection rules and strict controls are used over the political prisoners in the prison.

The Forensics Voted on Ayatollah Nekounam’s Inability to Endure Imprisonment
HRANA News Agency – Forensics has voted for the third time on Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam’s inability to endure the imprisonment. Despite that vote, this patient prisoner remained in Saheli prison. Denial of medical leave for Mr. Nekounam is while he has been, recently, transferred to prison’s infirmary.

Mohammad Nazari; 23 Years of Imprisonment Without Proper Medical Treatment
HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Nazari, ill political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, who has spent nearly 23 years of his life in prison, despite prison doctors’ request, faces opposition from the judiciary to send him to the hospital. On the other hand, during the last few days, this prisoner’s request for parole was refused.

Imprisoned Since 2000 Days; Abdulfattah Soltani
HRANA News Agency – Abdulfattah Solatni, lawyer and human rights activist who has been in prison since 2011, has been diagnosed with different diseases like acute neurological diseases, colitis and fluctuation in blood pressure. Mr. Soltani who has passed his 2000th day of imprisonment, faces rejection of his parole.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abdulfattah Soltani, is one of the human rights lawyers. He was arrested on September 10, 2011, and sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment and 20 years deprivation of working as an attorney, for being the winner of human rights prize of Nuremburg, having interviews with foreign media about his clients’ cases, and partnership in funding the association of human rights defenders of Iran. Esmail Abdi and Yusuf Emadi Transferred to Ward 350 of Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – Esmail Abdi, teachers’ union activist and Yusuf Emadi, artist, both prisoners in ward 7 of Evin prison, were transferred to ward 350 of Evin prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Esmail Abdi, the Board member of ITTA of Tehran, and Yusuf Emadi, composer and Setar player, two prisoners in ward 7 of Evin prison, were transferred to ward 350 of Evin prison, without “prior notice and the prosecutor’s order”, on March 1, 2017. Arash Sadeghi; Still in a Critical Health Condition
HRANA News Agency – The physical condition of Arash Sadeghi, civil rights activist in ward 350 of Evin prison, is still critical. Mr. Sadeghi is not able to eat solid food because of the development of ulcers and stomach bleeding and there is no food at the buffet of this ward, which is good for his physical condition. This prisoner suffers from chronic inflammatory diseases of the airways (asthma), bleeding in the stomach and intestinal colitis, due to a long-term hunger strike and lack of hospital treatment, and he is still deprived of medical treatment because of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards representative’s objection. On the other hand, Mr. Sadeghi and his wife, who is in the women’s ward in this prison, are both deprived of visiting each other.
