Hossein Ashtiani Sent to Furluogh from Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Hossein Ashtiani, a political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, who is serving his 15-year-imprisonment sentence in exile, has been sent on leave.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Hossein Ashtiani was sent on leave for first time on 3rd March, after serving 2 years of his sentence.
It should be noted that Mr. Ashtiani was charged with combat against God and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, after his own lawyer was dismissed and replaced with a public defender by judge Moghiseh. Although, this prisoner raised objection, after the verdict was issued, to the lack of information about the plea and the charges, evidences and documents in his case, but the court verdict was confirmed literally by the appeal court in 2012.
The Revolutionary Court accused Mr. Ashtiani, 60, with supporting MEK financially, for selling his sister’s house and sending its money to her. The accusation that has been rejected by him at all stages of the trial process.
In previous regime, Hossein Ashtiani had been held in prison for 1 year, and also in 1980s, for 7 years he was held in prison, both for political causes.
