Mr. Sohrabzadeh was interrogated and questioned and was forced to answer some questions regarding following his brother’s treatment process, and he was finally released after signing a commitment.
A close relative of Sohrabzadeh family in an interview with HRANA, by announcing this news, said: “This morning, at 7 o’clock, Kaveh was arrested when he was leaving his home to his work, by the Revolutionary Guards agents in Kermanshah, without a warrant.”
He added: “Agents were asking regarding his follow up for his brother, Afshin Shoranzadeh’s medical treatment, who is in exile in Minab prison, when they were arresting him”.
The source also mentioned: “Their mother attended the office of the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence and she was told; ‘why did you talk to anti-revolutionary media about Afshin’s illness?’ And in response she asked them; ‘why do you not let my son, who is suffering from cancer get treatment?’”
Afshin Sohrabzadeh, born in 1990, was arrested on June 8, 2009 and in a two-minute-long court hearing was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment in exile on charge of cooperation with Kurdish opposition parties. The court verdict was upheld by the Supreme Court.
This political prisoner is suffering from colon cancer, shortness of breath and internal bleeding and despite deterioration of his health condition, judicial and prison authorities are preventing him from being transferred to a hospital outside the prison to get a proper treatment.
HRANA has recently published the evidences indicating Mr Sohrabzadeh’s disease is getting worse on daily bases.
