A Report on the Situation of Detained Christians

HRANA News Agency – After nearly three weeks, five detained Christians in Firoozkooh are held in Evin prison under detention. 17 Christians were present at the place where they were arrested (a personal garden), two of them were notified that they had been fired from their jobs after Intelligence Ministry officials visited their workplaces. Also according to the reports, two days after the raid of security forces, the garden which is a personal property, has been seized and security forces released abandoned animals of the garden and prevent the owner from entering it.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ramin Bet Tamers, Amin Afshar Naderi, Hadi Asgari, Mohamad Dehnavard and Amir Saman Dashti five detained Christians are held in Evin prison still. However, the relevant authorities refuse to provide their families with further information on their status.
At least three of the detainees have been allowed to phone their families but they were not allowed to provide further information except their health status and presence in Evin prison.
It is reported that 17 people were present at the place where they were arrested (a personal garden), two of them were notified that they had been fired from their jobs in an insurance company after Intelligence Ministry officials visited their workplaces. Also 17 civilians’ mobile phones are still in custody of the Intelligence Ministry.
The garden which is a personal property, has been seized and two days after the raid of security forces they released abandoned animals of garden like chickens and several dogs, and prevent the owner from entering it.
It is worth mentioning, on August 26, 17 Christian converts who had gone to Firoozkooh with their families were detained by the Intelligence Ministry. Two of them were released immediately but the whereabouts and condition of five others are unknown so far.
