Saman Naseem’s Fate Is Unclear

HRANA News Agency – There is no information about Saman Naseem, death row political prisoner, who was arrested when he was just 17 years old.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), according to the family and the lawyer of Saman Naseem, he has been transferred to an unknown location three days ago, while he was supposed to be executed on Tuesday, on charge of Muharebeh by being a member of PJAK.
Many of human rights organizations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have reacted to the news of execution, and asked for halting the sentence, considering the age of prisoner at the time of arrest.
An informed source told HRANA’s reporter, “authorities had said to Saman’s brother that execution is halted, but will be performed soon. In another call to his other brother, which was done at 2 pm afternoon the same day, authorities mentioned that they should come to Uremia prison on Saturday, for collecting Saman’s accessories, which means that execution has been carried out”.
