Six amputation verdicts will be carried out in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – Ali Alqasi, the attorney general of Shiraz, has announced that six amputation verdicts have been issued in this city and will be carried out soon.

According to a report by Mehr News Agency, the attorney general of Shiraz announced the news of amputation verdicts in a press conference.  “We are waiting for the instructions from the head of the judiciary branch,” Alqasi said.  “The verdicts will be carried out soon.”

“We don’t have any political prisoners in Shiraz,” Alqasi further explained.  “These inmates are common criminals, but their families are trying to make the cases look like politically motivated.”

A few month ago, another prisoner’s fingers were cut off in Shiraz as a form of punishment.  “A number of people have been arrested for disturbing the peace and disobeying the police,” Alqasi said.
