HRANA News Agency – Sepideh Gholian, a student from Ahvaz, was arrested by the security forces, at his father’s house and was taken to an unknown location.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the security forces arrested Sepideh Gholian, born in 1995, a fourth semester student of veterinary from Ahvaz and resident of this city at her father’s house and took her to an unknown location on February 24, 2017.

A source close to Gholian family announced this news and told HRANA’s reporter: “The agents who probably were from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Intelligence, after the arrest told her family, threateningly: ‘you do not need to take any action we will contact you.’”

This informed source added: “The reason of detention is likely due to her activities in Instagram and civil activities. However, they have said nothing to her family and her family still has no news of her whereabouts and condition.”
