The List of Prisoners Charged with Muharebeh and Sentenced to More than 20 Years

HRANA News Agency – Prisoners who have been charged with Muharebeh according to the old Penal Code, would find the chance of a retrial, after the changes and may receive reduction in their sentences or be released. Currently there are at least 48 male prisoners in Iranian prisons on charges of Muharebeh, who have in different ways been sentenced to more than twenty years imprisonment (with the exception of life imprisonment sentences).

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 48 male prisoners in Iranian prisons on charges of Muharebeh, who have in different ways been sentenced to more than twenty years imprisonment (with the exception of life imprisonment sentences). Due to the changes in the Islamic Penal Code in 2013, these prisoners may request for a retrial. The List Of 39 Political Prisoners In Zahedan Central Prison

HRANA News Agency – The following list is the name of 39 prisoners who are being kept in Zahedan prison with different charges like acts against the national security.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the majority of these prisoners who are in prison without the final court sentence, were deprived from having lawyer on different stages of interrogations and court processing and were under pressure for confession. Besides, the judiciary is not informing the public transparently about their situation. (more…)

Baluch political prisoners are deprived of prison services

HRANA News Agency – Some of Baluch political prisoners of central prison of Zahedan, are deprived of prison services, as a consequence of writing letter to UN and EU (High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy).

 

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abed Bampoori, Eshagh Kalkoli and some other prisoners who had written appeal letter to Catherine Ashton last March, are deprived of all prison services like furlough and phone call. (more…)
