HRANA News Agency – Akbar Amini Armaki, political prisoner of Evin prison, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and 5 years deprivation from being a member of parties or political organizations during past 4 years and in three different cases. Mr. Amini has been imprisoned before the 2013 presidential elections. After a year and three months, the verdict of the appeal court has not been issued yet and as a consequence accumulation of the charges cannot be applied to him.
According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) – Akbar Amini was arrested first time by the security police at his work place, on June 22, 2009, and transferred to solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evin prison. After two months he was released on the bail, and sentenced to conditional two years in prison by branch number 15 of the revolutionary court in Tehran on charge of acts against the national security, in March 2010. HRANA News Agency – Akbar Amini Armaki has served the thousandth day of imprisonment without furlough in Evin prison. He was sentenced to a total of 10 years in prison and five years deprivation of membership in any parties during four years and in three cases. He is in prison since elections of 2013.
On February 15, 2010 Akbar Amini Armaki was detained by the officers of Ministry of Intelligence for the first time in a symbolic protest against the arrests and also encounters with protesters after the presidential elections in 2009 and raising green flag above a construction crane in front of the Tehran Islamic Revolutionary Court. He was under psychological and physical torture in the solitary confinement for months in ward 209 of Evin prison in order to admit to mental instability. HRANA News Agency – The case of Akbar Amini, civil activist, was returned to the lower court, by the Branch 36 of the Appeals Court, because of defects in his case.

HRANA News Agency – After more than two years of the detention of Akbar Amini Armaki political prisoner in ward 350 of Evin prison, the court’s final decision is undetermined yet.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), after Akbar Amini was sentenced for the second time, while he was in the prison, to 5 years imprisonment, in February 2014, his lawyers appealed and called for the integration of the crime but the result of this request has not been determined yet. HRANA News Agency – Akbar Amini Armaki has had no telephone contact with his family since he was arrested in month ago.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Akbar Amini has been arrested on June 7, 2013 in his home.
Now and after one month he has had no telephone contact or prison visits.
One of his relatives told HRANA: “Akbar Amini is under arrest in the Ward 209 of Evin prison for one month now. He has permission neither for a telephone call nor for prison visits. Nobody knows what the charges are and how long it is going to be like this.”
He said: “This time they arrested him in a violent way. They had a paper from branch 6 of Evin judiciary saying to find Akbar and get him out of his cranny and take everything they think can be fishy. They took his mother’s mobile phone and his son’s tablet with themselves.”
Akbar Amini had been arrested in the demonstrations in Tehran on February 14, 2011 and sentenced to 1 year of prison. He served this one year and get released afterwards. He has been arrested several times after that.
