Imprisonment Sentences of Two Activists Upheld by Appeals Court

HRANA News Agency – The primitive court verdict for Ghasem Ghanbari and Mir Mohammad Miri, two political activists from the village of Dale in Gachsaran District, who had been previously sentenced to two years of imprisonment and lashes on charges of propaganda against the regime and insulting the leadership, was upheld by the third branch of the Court of Appeals in Kohkiluyeh and Bouyer Ahmad Province. The verdict was announced to the defendants recently.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the two-year imprisonment sentence for Ghasem Ghanbari and Mir (Sayed) Mohammad Miri, which had been previously issued by the Gachsaran Revolutionary Court, was confirmed by the Appeals Court. 3 Activists from Gachsaran Sentenced to Imprisonment, Lashes and Fine

HRANA News Agency – Seyed Mohammad Miri and Ghasem Ghanbari, two political activists from Gachsaran, have been sentenced to imprisonment, lashes and fines on charge of propaganda against the regime and insulting the supreme cleader. Another political activist from Gachsaran, with the name of Hasan Bozorgzadeh, has been sentenced to imprisonment on charge of association in insulting the supreme leader and Khomeini and being banned of membership in any political group for two years, as well.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the revolutionary court of Gachsaran in Kohkilooyeh-va-Booyer-Ahmad province sentenced three political activists with the names of Hasan Bozorgzadeh, Seyed Mohammad Miri, and Ghasem Ghanbari, to respectively, 6 months, three years and three years imprisonment, as well as, 2 million IRR fine and 30 lashes for each. Besides, the court order for being banned of membership in any political group for two years, based on part 4 of article 23 of Islamic Penal Act, has been issued as the complementary punishment. 2 Activists from Gachsaran Released on the Bail

HRANA News Agency – Seyed Mohammad Miri and Ghasem Ghanbari, two political activists and resident of Dil village, a rural section of Ghachsaran city, who had been arrested by the intelligence service on Sunday July 31, were released on the bail. Hamid Bozorgzadeh, another activist who resides in this village has been summoned by the security authorities many times during this time.

2 Activists Arrested in Dil Village of Gachsaran

HRANA News Agency – Seyed Mohammad Miri and Ghasem Ghanbari, two political activists from the village of Dil, were arrested by the intelligence services, on July 31.
