Seven Political Activists Arrested in Robat Karim County

On Wednesday, November 3, seven political activists were arrested by security forces in Robat Karim County at Sattar Beheshti’s burial place.

The activists have been identified as Heshmatullah Tabarzadi, Esmaeel Moftizadeh, Parviz Safari, Arash Soleymani, Mohammad-Reza Khosravi, Ali Rostami and Yasamin Hanifeh

According to HRANA, the news agency of Human Rights Activists, these political activists were arrested after gathering to visit Sattar Beheshti’s grave and to mark the anniversary of his death in Imamzadeh Mohammad-Taghi Cemetery in Robat Karim County.

Sattar Beheshti was a blogger and worker who was tortured to death in a detention center. He had been arrested by the Iranian Cyber Police (FATA) for his civil and political activities online.

The specific reason for the arrests is unknown as of this writing.

Heshmatullah Tabarzadi Sentenced to 6 Years Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court sentenced Heshmatullah Tabarzadi, political activist, to six years imprisonment for “gathering and colluding” and “propaganda against the regime”. The sentence was sent of Mr. Tabarzadi’s lawyer.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court, chaired by Judge Ahmadzadeh, sentenced Heshmatullah Tabarzadi, political activist to six years imprisonment. At Least 7 Prisoners Are on Hunger Strike in Different Prisons

HRANA News Agency – At least 7 political prisoners namely Ehsan Mazandarani, Jafar Aimzadeh, Maryam Naghash Zargaran, Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand, Rasul Razavi, Heshmatullah Tabarzadi and Mohammad Abdullahi are on hunger strike in different prisons, in protest to their conditions. The physical condition of some of them is reported to be critical. Arash Mokri and Mohammad Amin Agoushi also had announced their strikes last month, but there is no information about the continuation or end of their strike.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ehsan Mazandarani, Jafar Aimzadeh, Maryam Naghash Zargaran, Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand, Rasul Razavi, Heshmatullah Tabarzadi and Mohammad Abdullahi are on hunger strike in protest to their conditions in Evin, Rajaei Shahr and Uremia prisons. 3 Political Prisoners Address Recent Incidents in Khuzestan Province

HRANA News Agency – Heshmatullah Tabarzadi, Shahrokh Zamani and Khaled Hrdani, political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison, wrote a letter to condemn the recent events in Khuzestan province and called Human Rights advocates to pay attention to this issue.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), three political prisoners, named Hashmatullah Tabarzadi, Shahrokh Zamani and Khaled Hardani, wrote a letter from prison, a copy of which has been given to HRANA, and condemned the repression oo Khuzestan citizens, and have said: “One of the Khoramshahr citizens, who had been oppressed by a governmental institution, has set himself in fire and following this sad incident, Ahvazi people protested to support this Khoramshahri kiosk holder’s rights and condemning agents who dealt with this issue.
