Officers Prevent 2 Sunni Prisoners from Receiving Medical Treatment

HRANA News Agency – Two Sunni prisoners of conscience in Iran who had been transferred to hospital on Tuesday after a deterioration in their condition were prevented from receiving medical treatment by officers in charge of their case.

11 Sunni prisoners at risk of imminent execution

HRANA News Agency – Eleven Sunni prisoners were transferred to the Implementation of Sentences section in Rajai Shahr prison on 5 November 2014 and interrogated by prison officials, leading to concerns that the men could face execution soon.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the eleven men, whose death sentences have been confirmed by the Supreme Court, had been sentenced to death after being convicted of ‘Moharabeh [enmity against God] through the support of Salafi groups’. Sunni prisoners beaten by prison guards

HRANA News Agency – Two Sunni prisoners of conscience awaiting execution in Iran, brothers Jamshed and Jahangir Dehghani, along with their family who were visiting them, were beaten by prison guards today in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, Iran.

Four Sunni prisoners announce end to hunger strike

HRANA News Agency – Four Sunni prisoners awaiting execution in Iran announced an end to their hunger strike after 39 days without food, after being returned to Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj yesterday.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the men, Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Molayee, Jahangir Dehghani and Jamshed Dehghani began their hunger strike on 14 June 2014 after they were transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj in order for their execution to be carried out. HRANA News Agency – The families of four Sunni prisoners on the verge of execution were joined yesterday by a number of Iranian political activists outside Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.

Families gather outside prison in protest at imminent executions, Iran

HRANA News Agency – The families of four Sunni prisoners in danger of imminent execution in Iran have gathered outside Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj in protest at their death sentences.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the families, despite opposition from Iranian security forces, have refused to leave the prison until the death sentences are revoked, and until the prisoners are returned to Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj. Four death row prisoners transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison

HRANA News Agency – The four prisoners, who had been transferred to solitary confinement in Rajai Shahr Prison yesterday in order for their executions to be carried out, were transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison last night.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the families of the men were informed by a prison official that the men were due to be executed at 4 am this morning, but that the execution was not carried out. Four Sunni prisoners still in danger of execution

HRANA News Agency – Four Sunni prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Iran are still in danger of execution, despite promises by the Iranian authorities to revoke their death sentences.

 

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the death sentences for the men, Hamed Ahmadi, Jamshed Dehghani, Jahangir Dehghani and Kamal Molayee, were confirmed by the Supreme Court, and their cases were sent to the Implementation of Sentences court, Branch 1 of Shahid Moghadasi court in Tehran.
