At Least 2 Prisoners Executed in Urmia Prison

HRANA News Agency – The death penalty for drug-related charges of at least two prisoners were executed in the central prison of Urmia.

New Radio Jammer Machines in Rajai Shahr Prison Put Prisoners’ Health at Risk

HRANA News Agency – With the installation of numerous devices of Mobile crushers (Radio Jammer machines), on the roof of Hall 12, the whereabouts of security-political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, some medical problems, including headaches and dizziness for these prisoners have been more intensive. This issue has caused a number of the prisoners to go to the prison infirmary, in recent days. Prison officials have said the aim of installing this device was to make problems for the illegal phones that might be used by the prisoners. This claim is while the inspection rules and strict controls are used over the political prisoners in the prison.

At Least 3 Arab Civilians Arrested in Ahvaz

HRANA News Agency – At least three Arab citizens from Ahvaz namely; Naji Dahimi, Adnan Abyat, and Lafteh Ghavabesh (Jalali), were arrested by the Revolutionary Guards and Ministry of Intelligence and there is no information available regarding their fate and whereabouts.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Naji Dahimi, 34, married and father of two children, was arrested by the Headquarters of the Hazrat Abulfazl Alabbas Security Forces, on February 28, 2017, and was transferred to an unknown location. Mohammad Najafi Tried and Released on the Bail

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Najafi, a registered lawyer who is active in human rights related lawsuits in Shazand town, had his court hearing about the allegation of propaganda against the regime, and was then released on the bail. Mr. Najafi has three other cases against him, the first one in the armed forces’ court, the second one in the prosecution office of the town and the third one in branch number two of Evin court.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad Najafi, registered lawyer of judiciary, who is active in human rights related lawsuits, had his court hearing regarding the charge of propaganda against the regime in Shazand court in Markazi province, on march 4. An Arab Asylum Seeker Sentenced to Jail after Returning to Iran

HRANA News Agency – Zia Savari, 24, resident of Ahvaz, has been sentenced to 6 years in prison after returning from Netherlands. This sentence was confirmed in the appeal court.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Zia Savari, 24, resident of Kooy-e-Alaviyeh area in Ahvaz city, who had returned from Netherlands in March 2016, was arrested on Thursday, April 14, 2015 by the intelligence forces of IRGC. Monthly Report – An Overview of the Human Rights Situation in Iran for Azar 1395 Iranian Calendar (21 Nov – 20 Dec 2016 Gregorian calendar)

HRANA News Agency – The Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRAI) has published the following monthly report for the Iranian calendar Month of Azar (21st Nov-20th Dec) on the human rights situation in Iran. This report cannot perfectly and comprehensively reflect the details of human rights concerns in Iran for obvious reasons including the existing governmental limitations and ban on the free exchange of information.

It should be noted that in addition to the monthly reports, the Department of Statistics and Publication of the Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRAI) publishes a comprehensive and analytical annual report at the end of each calendar year. The Forensics Voted on Ayatollah Nekounam’s Inability to Endure Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Forensics has voted for the third time on Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam’s inability to endure the imprisonment. Despite that vote, this patient prisoner remained in Saheli prison.  Denial of medical leave for Mr. Nekounam is while he has been, recently, transferred to prison’s infirmary.

Mohammad Nazari; 23 Years of Imprisonment Without Proper Medical Treatment

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Nazari, ill political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, who has spent nearly 23 years of his life in prison, despite prison doctors’ request, faces opposition from the judiciary to send him to the hospital. On the other hand, during the last few days, this prisoner’s request for parole was refused.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Nazari, political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison, who suffers from heart disease and lumbar disc, has been imprisoned since nearly twenty-three years without leave and in lack of medical care in prison. Abdulkarim Shah Bakhsh; 8 Years of Torture and Harassment in Prisons

HRANA News Agency – Abdulkarim Shah Bakhsh, 55, Baluch Sunni political prisoner, after eight years of imprisonment in exile in the Central Prison of Ardabil, is held without leave and medical treatment for the diseases such as; “asthma, swelling and scarring of the lungs” with coughing up blood. In his referring to the prison clinic, he was told that he had to pay “6 million IRR” for his medicines as they had to get them from outside the prison, while in the past eight years Mr. Shah Bakhsh had no income because of the imprisonment, and his family is in poverty caused by being “orphaned”.
