Human Rights Situation in Iran – Annual Report 2014

HRANA News Agency – The Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists in Iran has published an analytical report on the human rights situation in Iran during the one-year period (2014-2015). This report is the result of daily efforts of the organization and its dedicated members in the past few years based on a survey-based project started in 2009 and indicated as statistical analysis on this report.

The report consists of statistics in different areas of human rights violations in Iran e.g. ethnic rights, religious rights, freedom of expression, executions etc.

It also includes the statistics of human rights violations in different provinces in Iran as well as a general comparison with the statistics of the last year.

The Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists in Iran has included different monthly comparative figures in the report, through which you can have an overview of the whole situation in different time frames.

Ardeshir Ahmadi Released from Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Ardeshir Ahmadi, young Iranian-Canadian documentary filmmaker was released from Evin detention center, after nearly three months of custody.

Monthly Report – An Overview of the Human Rights Situation in Iran in February – March, 2015

HRANA News Agency – The Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists in Iran has published the following monthly report on the human rights situation in Iran during the period of February- March, 2015 (Persian calendar month of Esfand, 1393). This report cannot perfectly and comprehensively reflect the details of human rights concerns in Iran for obvious reasons including the existing governmental limitations and ban on the free exchange of information. It should be emphasized that in addition to the monthly reports, the Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists Association of Iran publishes a comprehensive and analytical annual report at the end of each year. Shamim Ettahadi Denied Prison Furloughs

HRANA News Agency – Shamim Ettahadi, a Bahai imprisoned in Yazd, has been denied prison furloughs, although he has been imprisoned for almost two years and meets the conditions for furlough.

A prisoner Executed in Zabul Prison

HRANA News Agency – The execution of Amir Ghaemi was performed on Saturday morning April 5.

The Imprisoned Labor Is Transferred to Dar-al-Quran Ward in Rajaei Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Behnam Ibrahimzadeh, labor rights’ activist has been transferred to ward number 2 of Rajaei Shahr prison, which is known as Dar-al-Quran ward.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), ward number 2 of Rajaei Shahr prison which is known as Dar-al-Quran ward, is a special religious ward in which group praying and reading Quran is mandatory and different groups of prisoners including dangerous ones are kept together. Prisoners would receive some benefits like visits, furlough and pardon, in return to practicing in religious rituals.
