4 Turkish Activists Released and Acquitted

HRANA News Agency – On August 14, Meysam Jolani and Tohid Amir Amini were released from Ardabil prison by the end of their sentences, on the other hand Aydin Zakeri and Saeed Babakishizadeh were acquitted from the charges in Meshkinshar court.

A Woman Killed by the Police in Sardasht

HRANA News Agency – On Thursday, August 11, a 36-year-old woman was killed following the shooting by the police forces under the supervision of Torjan Base to a Toyota car suspected of carrying Koolbars.

Ibrahim Noori Released on the Bail

HRANA News Agency – Ibrahim Noori was released on the bail from Ahar prison and ended his hunger strike. This imprisoned activist was on hunger strike since July 28. Babak Hossaini, is another prisoner who was released as well.

Three Activists Released / One Arrested; Azerbaijan Provinces

HRANA News Agency – Following the protests in various cities of Azerbaijan and Ardebil provinces in response to an article which was published in the newspaper of “Tarhe No”, a wave of arresting protesters in these cities began. Gradually, the identities of some of them who were arrested or sent to judicial centers have been verified: Nasim Sadeghi in Tabriz and Mohamamd Jolaei, Hossein Balakhani, and Ahmad Mohammadzadeh in Ardebil are the activists who were released on the bail recently. However it has been reported that Babak Hosseini Moghaddam was arrested in Tabriz.

The Wave of Arresting Turkish Protesters Continues

HRANA News Agency – Following the protests in various cities of Azerbaijan and Ardebil provinces in reaction to the article published in the newspaper of “Tarhe No” and the continuation of the protests in recent days, a wave of arrests of protesters in various cities including Tabriz and Ardebil continued by arresting at least three other civilians. At the same time one person was summoned to the police station in Urmia, and in Tabriz, intelligence agents were unsuccessful in their attempt to arrest two others.  Along with the continuous wave of arrests five of the detainees were released on July 29.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the wave of arresting Turkish (Azeri) protesters to the article published in the newspaper of “Tarhe No” continued by arresting and summoning some other civilians.
