Ismail Afkhami Released from Central Prison of Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – Dr. Ismail Afkhami, one of the six Turkish (Azeri) activists, who had been detained in Ardabil about a month ago, was released on the bail from Tabriz Central Prison on June 8. Yones Rahimi, another detainee of this group had already been released a few days ago.

The Latest Status of 6 Detained Civil Rights Activists

HRANA News Agency – Approximately one month since 6 Turk (Azeri) activists have been arrested, Habib Sasanian has stated in a short phone call with his family that he was being kept in the intelligence centre. Dr. Esmail Afkhami, other detainee of this group has been transferred to central prison of Tabriz. But still there is no information about the fate of other 4.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), about a month ago, Habib Sasanian (Yakamouz), along with other activists, Dr. Esmail Afkhami, Mehdi Javanzadeh, Hamid Saghafi, Babak Avand and Younes Rahimi, who were all active in the issue of Ghareh-Bagh and Armenia, were arrested and transferred to an unknown location. Rasoul Razavi Transferred to an Unknown Location on the 19th Day of Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – Rasoul Razavi, imprisoned Turkish (Azeri) activist in Tabriz prison was transferred to an unknown location on the nineteenth day of hunger strike. The situation of the prisoner after the transfer is not known.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), at 10:30am on Monday, June 6, 2016, Rasoul Razavi imprisoned Turkish (Azeri) activist in Tabriz prison was transferred to an unknown location on the nineteenth day of hunger strike. Protests to Pumping Away Karoon’s Water Goes On in Ahvaz

HRANA News Agency – For the third time in the recent weeks, a number of citizens protesting against pumping away the water of Karoon from Ahwaz, gathered on June 2, 2016.

26 Activists Sentenced to Imprisonment, Lashes and Fine in Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – Despite UN’s objections to lashings in Iran, on May 31, 2016, 26 fans of Tractorsazi FC of Tabriz and protesters to Fitileh program were sentenced to flogging, fines and imprisonment on charge of “disturbing the public peace through participation in clamoring” by Branch 112 of the Criminal Court.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the verdict of flogging, imprisonment and fines for 26 fans of Tractorsazi FC of Tabriz on charge of “disturbing the public peace through participation in clamoring”, was issued. 6 Civil Activists Acquitted of Charges in Urmia

HRANA News Agency – Six Turkish activists were acquitted of the charge of disturbing the stadium order during a football match in Urmia through chanting, by the judge of Branch 1102 of the Criminal Court Branch 1102 of Urmia.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ali Azizi, Yasser Akbari, Sohail Daliri, Milad Mokhtari, Amir Ebrahimlo and Mehdi Mojarab Nia were acquitted of the charge of disturbing the order of the football match between Shahrdai of Urmia and Bank Sarmayeh of Tehran by Branch 110 of the second Criminal Court of Urmia. Majid Alboebadi Arrested 2 Weeks ago; Yet no Information about his Whereabouts

HRANA News Agency – Majid Alboebadi, Arab citizen of Mahshar, was arrested by the security forces and was taken to an unknown location, on 17th May, and despite his family’s chase, no official institution has accepted the responsibility of his arrest.

No Information about Arab Juvenile Arrested 18 Months ago

HRANA News Agency – The family of Hamzeh Hosseinzadeh (Asakereh), Arab citizen who was 15 at the time of being arrested, are still unaware of his fate after 18 months and the security agencies do not accept the responsibility for his arrest.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA),  Hamzeh Hosseinzadeh (Asakereh), Arab citizen from Taleghani town (Koreh area) of Mahshahr, was arrested by the intelligence agents on February 18, 2015, and since then his family has not been able to get any information about his situation. Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand Returned to the Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist and human rights activist, whom had been taken urgently to Taleghani hospital after deterioration of his physical condition, was returned to the prison the day after. He is still on hunger strike, and his condition is critical.
According to the report of Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist and head of the Kurdistan Human Rights Organization, who, despite suffering from different and serious diseases, has gone on hunger strike to protest against his new case being made against him, since 8th May, following deterioration of his physical condition was transferred to Taleghani hospital and the day after, without any changes in his condition was returned to the prison.
