Mohammad Najafi’s Trial Postponed

HRANA News Agency – The court hearing of Mohammad Najafi, lawyer, was not held due to absence of the judge in the Branch 102 of the Criminal Justice Court in Shandiz, in the Markazi province. Mr. Najafi is charged with “disturbing the public opinion”.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Najafi along with his lawyers, Mr. Payam Dorafshan and Arash Keikhosravi, showed up in Branch 102 of the Criminal Justice Court in Shandiz, in the Markazi province, to address the charge of “disturbing the public opinion”, however, because of the absence of the judge, the trial did not take place and the case was postponed indefinitely. Agents Raided Aso Rostami’s Work Place

HRANA News Agency – On March 15, three plainclothes officers went to the workplace of civil and children’s rights activist, Aso Rostami threatening the manager of the non-state training center, and closed his classes without any warrant.
An informed source told HRANA’s reporter: “on Sunday three plainclothes officers went to the workplace of Aso Rostami where is a private education center.  First by a very harsh tone they threatened to close his class but by his resistance they went to the manager and said if Rostami’s classes would continue in that place, he was going to pay for what he did.” Continue reading “Agents Raided Aso Rostami’s Work Place”

Mohsen Shoja Went to Evin Prison to Serve his Sentence

HRANA News Agency – Mohsen Shoja, civil rights activist and one of the arrestees of the sit-in in front of Evin prison, has self-surrendered to Evin Prison to serve his 91-day-sentence.

Mohsen Shoja Has to Introduce Himself to Evin Prison on March 16th.

HRANA News Agency – Mohsen Shoja, civil rights activist, and one of the arrestees during a sit-in in front of Evin prison, said that he had to introduce himself to Evin prison to endure his 91-day sentence, on 16th March.
In a conversation with the reporter of HRANA, Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran, Mohsen Shoja said: “About four months ago, I was arrested at a sit-in in front of Evin prison and in building number two of the judiciary, the Branch 1060, I was sentenced to 91 days imprisonment and 74 suspended lashes by Judge Farshid Dehghan on charge of “disturbing public order through turbulence”, and for my 91 days imprisonment sentence and suspended 74 lashes sentence, considering about 1 moth detention time, I have to present myself at Evin prison on 16th of this month”. 12 Activists Tried in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The trial of twelve civil rights activists, who had been arrested in front of Dena Tire building, was held in Branch 1044 of Tehran secondary Criminal Court.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Zartusht (Esmail) Ahmad Ragheb, Davood (Hushang) Nemati, Hamed Goudarzi, Ali Ebrahimi, Zahra Sadat Ebrahimi, and seven civil rights activists (ladies), who had been arrested in front of Dena Tire building, on charges of “disturbing public order (in favor of Erfan Halgheh) were tried at Branch 1044 of Tehran secondary Criminal Court, on 8th March. 4 Social Netwerk Activists Arrested in Arak

HRANA News Agency – Four activists of social networks in Arak were arrested and imprisoned on political charges. According to informed sources, the four were detained because of writing critical contents in the “Line” communication network in October.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), The four (three men and a lady) were charged with insulting religious sanctities, insulting the Supreme Leader, and propaganda against the regime, because of  writing political and religious content. Qasim Exirifard Begins a Sit-In in front of Khajeh Nasir University

HRANA News Agency – Qasim Exirifard, professor of physics who has been banned from teaching because of having “a female voice”, has begun to re-sit-in protest in front of Khajeh Nasir University. He had a similar strike action in the spring of last year, but so far there has been no response from the authorities.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the professor sit in front of Khajeh Nasir University on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, according to previous announcement and said he would continue his protest in the coming days. 3 Artists Sentenced to Imprisonment and Fine by the Appeal Court of Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Three artists have been sentenced each to three years in prison, three years prohibition from activities and 20 million tomans fine by Branch 54 of the Tehran Appeals Court. According to informed sources the final sentence of the musicians Mehdi Rajabian and Yusef Emadi and filmmaker Hossein Rajabian, before delivering them, has been sent to the executive branch in Evin Court (Shahid Moghadasi Court).
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), each of the three artists had been sentenced to six years in prison in the first stage by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Moghiseh, on charges of insulting religious sanctities and propaganda against the regime. Mohammad Mozaffari Summoned to the Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Mozaffari, social and nationalist activist was summoned to Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court. This member of the National Front of Students and Graduates Organisation is free on the bail.
