34 days of hunger strike for four Sunni prisoners awaiting execution

HRANA News Agency – The condition of four Sunni prisoners awaiting execution in Iran is deteriorating after 34 days on hunger strike.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Molayee, Jahangir Dehghani and Jamshed Dehghani began their hunger strike on 14 June 2014 after they were transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj in order for their execution to be carried out. Disabled Sunni prisoner deprived of adequate medical treatment

HRANA News Agency – Abdol Rahman Sangani, a disabled Sunni prisoner who is currently awaiting execution in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, has been deprived of adequate medical care by the prison authorities.

Mohammad Nasiri transferred to section 8 of Evin prison

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad (Koroush) Nasiri, the political prisoner of Rajai Shahr prison has been transferred to ward number 8 of Evin prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad (Koroush) Nasiri, the political prisoner of ward number 12 of Rajai Shahr prison, was taken out of his cell with all of his belonging and personal accessories, on Wednesday July 9th. A Kurdish citizen killed by police forces

HRANA News Agency – A merchant has been killed by a direct shot from police forces in border zone in Maku.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), an Iranian police force have shot a villager merchant, with the name of Mahmoud Alam Houli, the son of Ali, in Ghezel Haghi village, a suburb area of Maku and killed him. Soroush Sabet released from Prison

HRANA News Agency – Soroush Sabet – A Leftist student – was released from Evin Prison after serving his sentence.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Soroush was transferred to Ward 350 in Evin Prison on 2nd September 2012 to serve his 2 year sentence.  He received this suspended sentence with regards to his attendance at Leftist student protests back in 2007.

His sentence was approved by Judge Zargarnejad of the 16th Branch of Islamic Revolutionary Appeal Court in Tehran.

Soroush Sabet won the Bronze Medal at Computer Olympia and held the second place in Mathematics at Kharazmi Olympia both back in 2002. He also won the first place at Master’s level National University Entrance Examination in 2009.

This Leftist activist student was charged with “acts against the national security: protest and collude with intent to disturb the peace and national security” and was sentenced to two year imprisonment.

Sunni prisoner deprived of medical treatment

HRANA News Agency – Aram Mikaeli, a Sunni prisoner of conscience detained in Saghez Central Prison, Kurdistan province of Iran, has been deprived of medical treatment despite suffering from numerous medical conditions.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), despite the judicial authorities approving a period of medical leave for Aram to receive medical treatment, the security forces have prevented the decision from being enforced. HRANA News Agency – Ali Salanpoor, the political prisoner of Rajai Shahr prison is suffering from Cervical Vertebrae and spinal disorders, but he is facing medical negligence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Salanpoor who was arrested on December 19, 2010 and sentenced to five years in prison in revolutionary court is kept in hall number 12 of Rajai Shahr prison. Latif Hasani ended his hunger strike after 52 days

HRANA News Agency – Latif Hasani, political prisoner who is in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj, stopped his hunger strike after 52 days.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Latif Hasani, went on hunger strike in Central Prison of Tabriz on Sunday 18th April to oppose against violation of political prisoners legal rights such as being kept in their home city, and also, against prisoners’ families harassment.
