HRANA News Agency – Arjang Davoodi, the senior political prisoner, has been sent back to Bandar Abbas prison.

No information about Namegh Mahmoodi’s whereabouts

HRANA News Agency – There is no information regarding whereabouts of Namegh Mahmoodi, the Kurdish political prisoner.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Namegh Mahmoodi, the 63 years old Kurdish political prisoner, has been taken from his cell in ward number 12 of Rajai Shahr prison to an unknown location, on October 12, 2013, and there is no information about the place he is being kept yet. A political prisoner deprived of medical treatment

HRANA News Agency – The authorities of Uremia prison (Darya) have evaded from paying the medical treatment of Jahangir Badoozadeh and he is deprived of having medical treatment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Jahangir Badoozadeh the prisoner of central prison of Uremia (Darya), who has been sentenced to lifetime prison, was transferred to a hospital outside of the prison under protection, for his necessary medical treatment but the hospital set the cost of treatment one million Tomans.
The prison authorities refused to pay the cost to hospital and asked this prisoner to deposit the money to hospitals’ account and then they would send him to the hospital under protection.
An informed source said to HRANA’s reporter, “according to international law and also the organization of prisoners of Islamic Republic of Iran regulation, the prison have to provide healthy condition for inmates and is responsible for their medical treatment, and shall not take any money from the prisoners for their treatments. Unfortunately, all of the relatives of Jahangir Badoozadeh had passed away and he does not have anybody outside of the prison to pay for his surgery”.
Jahangir Badoozadeh has been in Uremia prison without furlough since 2004. First, he was sentenced to death, and then on court of appeal he was sentenced to lifetime prison.

3 prisoners including a woman hanged in 2 prisons

HRANA News Agency – A woman has been hanged in Rajai Shahr Prison of Karaj on Saturday May 10.

An imprisoned student sentenced to 10 years in prison

HRANA News Agency – The 10 years in prison sentence of Hamid Babai, the PhD student who was studying in Belgium, is confirmed by the appeal court.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hamid Babai, the PhD student who was studying at the University of Liege in Belgium and had come to Iran for visiting his family, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on charge of espionage and cooperation with conflicting governments, in branch number 15 of revolutionary court, by chief judge Salavati, on December 21, 2013. Sunni Prisoner deprived of medical treatment

HRANA News Agency – A Sunni prisoner was prevented from getting medical treatment after he could not afford the medical fees, with officers refusing to let him contact his family to ask them for money.

Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand returned to ward 350

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand who was beaten and transferred to solitary confinement and later on to prison clinic, following the “Black Thursday”, was returned to ward 350 on May 5.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand was transferred to solitary confinement from room 3, ward 350, and then he was taken to prison clinic. Eventually, he was returned to ward 350 while despite a lapse of time, there is still bruises on his right arm, ribs and left foot toes injuries.
