Two Sunni prisoners re-sentenced to death

HRANA News Agency – Two Sunni prisoners suffering from psychological illnesses are in danger of execution after their death sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Court in Iran.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the two men, Syed Hadi Hosseini and Seddigh Mohammadi, had ended a 7-week long hunger strike in December 2013 after being informed by lawyers that the Supreme Court had overturned their death sentences due to their psychological illnesses. A political prisoner on hunger strike in Bandar Abbas prison

HRANA News Agency- Hassan Javani, an elder and sick political prisoner in Bandar Abbas, went on hunger strike in protest at his living condition in prison since 10 days ago.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), ten days ago, this 57 year old political prisoner in Bandar Abbas prison who is suffering from heart problems, prostate and hemorrhoid, was transferred in Bandar Abbas Central prison from ward 12 to ward 2 which is populous and has a poor sanitary condition, and went on hunger strike. No news on whereabouts of 10 Sunni men arrested last month

HRANA News Agency – There has been no news about the condition of ten Sunni men who are being held at an unknown location since their arrest a month ago in the cities of Bukan and Mahabad, West Azerbaijan province of Iran.

Iran security forces arrest a 15-year old Sunni boy

HRANA News Agency – A 15-year old boy and a Sunni teacher were arrested by security forces last week in Baneh, Kurdistan province of Iran.

No prison visit for Behnam Ebrahimzadeh

HRANA News Agency- Behnam Ebrahimzadeh’s family were prevented from visiting him in Evin prison by the prison’s authorities.

HRANA News Agency – Hamid Manafi, the Azerbaijaniani political activist was transferred to the clinic of Evin prison clinic because of his physical deterioration for the second time since his arrest.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Manafi was transferred to solitary confinement from general ward because of going on hunger strike since May 12. Later on, three days after he started Dry Hunger Strike, he was transferred to prison’s clinic as his physical condition was critical. Fuad Khanjani and Kamran Rahimiyan barred from meeting their relatives

HRANA News Agency – Prison officials have prevented Kamran Rahimiyan and Fuad Khanjani, two Bahai prisoners in Raja’i Shahr prison, from meeting members of their families who are imprisoned in Tehran’s Evin Prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), yesterday (May 17) it was announced that the two prisoners would be taken to Evin prison, but the visit was later denied on the basis that they refused to wear the standard prison uniform.
