Hasan Rastegari Majd Sentenced to Another Year in Prison
HRANA News Agency – Hasan Rastegari Majd, Turkish-Iranian citizen and political prisoner of Uremia central prison, was sentenced to another one year in prison on charge of propaganda against the regime. This sentence was issued while the attorney general had dropped the charges, but the prosecutor appealed and he was tried again.

2 Musician Brothers on Hunger Strike in Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – Mehdi and Hossain Rajabian, two imprisoned artists, have started a hunger strike in protest to changing their wards. They started this protest in response to their separation as a punishment, which came after the discussion between them and the supervisor prosecutor of the prison.

Prison Guards Raid Different Wards of Rajai Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – By the order of Mohammad Mardani, head of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, anti-riot police of this prison, in an unusual inspection of some of the halls of ward 4, attempted to beat a large number of prisoners and destructed their properties. During the investigation which is said to be done in order to stop the reports of human rights violations from Rajai Shahr prison, TVs and even the walls of some of the cells were destroyed. There is no information about the fate of prisoners who have been beaten.

The List of Prisoners Charged with Muharebeh and Sentenced to More than 20 Years
HRANA News Agency – Prisoners who have been charged with Muharebeh according to the old Penal Code, would find the chance of a retrial, after the changes and may receive reduction in their sentences or be released. Currently there are at least 48 male prisoners in Iranian prisons on charges of Muharebeh, who have in different ways been sentenced to more than twenty years imprisonment (with the exception of life imprisonment sentences).
