Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam Returned to the Prison

HRANA News Agency – Imprisoned dissident cleric, Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam, who previously had been transferred from prison to a hospital outside the Saheli prison of Qom was returned to the prison.
According to the report of the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), despite the insistence of doctors in the hospital, on inability to endure the imprisonment by Ayatollah Nekounam which is approved by Forensics of Tehran, on the orders of the Special Court for the Clergy, this prisoner was returned to the prison. Aso Rostami Transferred to Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – While Aso Rostami’s mother was threatened on the phone by a security agent, Mr. Rostami was transferred to Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj on November 4, 2016. Rostami family are extremely concerned about the fate of their child.

Hossein Rajabian and Vahid Sayadi Nassiri Ended Their Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – Hossein Rajabian and Vahid Sayadi Nassiri, two political prisoners in Evin prison ended their hunger strike after reaching their demands. Mr. Rajabian was sent on a 72-hour-long medical leave on Monday, December 5.

Golrokh Irai Addresses Her and Her Husband’s Sufferings

HRANA News Agency – Golrokh Irai and Arash Sadeghi, civil rights activists are held in Evin prison, and serving their 6 and 19 years imprisonment. Arash Sadeghi had gone on hunger strike for more than 70 days in protest to the case and the arrest of his wife. What follows is a Golrokh Irai’s speech before the arrest and her descriptions of the case and the rights that have been violated.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Arash Sadeghi who is serving his sentence in Hall 10, ward 8 of Evin prisonnhad gone on hunger strike by writing a letter to protest against his wife’s arrest.
The political prisoner later, had written an open letter and mentioned the documented cases of rights violations in the process of arrest, interrogation, trial and sentencing.
Golrokh Irai was arrest and taken to Evin prison by the security forces on October 24, 2016 without receiving written summons.

HRANA News Agency – On December 4, a group of prisoners in the women’s ward of Evin prison sat out to protest against the exclusion of a meeting between Golrokh Irai and her husband, Arash Sadeghi. Finally, at 7 pm the couple were able to meet in the Office of Enforcement.

Keyvan Karimi Arrested to Serve His Sentence

HRANA News Agency – On November 23, 2016, Keyvan Karimi, prominent Iranian filmmaker who was summoned to the law enforcement of branch 1 of Shahid Moghadas court in Evin prison during a phone call to provide some explanations, was arrested and transferred to the quarantine ward of Evin prison to serve his 1 year in prison and 223 lashes.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Keyvan Karimi was sentenced to 6 years in prison and 223 lashes on charge of “propaganda against the Islamic Republic and blasphemy” due to creating a documentary about the history of graffiti in Tehran called “Writing on the City”, whose sentence was reduced to one year in prison and five years of probation and 223 lashes at the appeal court. Arash Sadeghi Transferred to the Hospital on the 39th Day of His Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi, imprisoned civil rights activist in Evin prison who is on hunger strike, was transferred to the hospital, following a sharp drop in his blood pressure pressure and vomiting blood. This prisoner who is now on the 60th day of his hunger strike, was returned to prison due to refusing to receive medical serum.
