3 Political Prisoners Returned from Solitary Confinements

HRANA News Agency – Saleh Kohandel, Pirooz Mansouri and Afshin Baymani are three political prisoners who had been violently transferred to solitary confinements of the IRGC, came back to the ward after 5 days. The wave of executions in Rajai Shahr had rosen serious concerns about the fate of these prisoners.

3 Political Prisoners Transferred to Solitary Confinements in Rajai Shahr Prison

Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam Transferred to Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam was transferred for medical treatment to a hospital outside the Saheli prison in Qom. It has been said that the jailed dissident cleric in addition to sugar and high blood pressure, during the last several days had had problems in his heart, kidney and thyroid.

Batir Shah Mammadov’s Plea on the 20th Day of Hunger Strike / Video Footage

HRANA News Agency – Batir Shah Mammadov, Turkmen citizen who has been sentenced to 20 years in prison on spying charges is on hunger strike demanding to be extradited to his country on the basis of the current agreements between Iran and Turkmenistan after 7 years imprisonment. He explained his condition and case in Persian which is difficult for a foreign citizen and also in Turkmen language on the twentieth day of his hunger strike in a video which was recorded last week and delivered to HRANA.

Mehdi Motamedi Mehr Sent to Hospital from Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mehdi Motamedi Mehr, political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj and member of the Political Bureau of the Freedom Movement of Iran, was sent to the hospital for examination and investigation of his heart disease.

Motalen Ahmadian’s Temporary Detention Extended Again

HRANA News Agency – The temporary detention of Motaleb Ahmadian, political prisoner in Saghez prison was extended once again, despite five years of uncertainty. The political prisoner in Sanandaj prison was transferred to Saghez prison on May 3, and simultaneously was interrogated about a new case but still no court has been formed for him.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Motaleb Ahmadian, political prisoner in Sanandaj prison was transferred to Saghez prison on May 3, and simultaneously was interrogated about a new case and still after five years of detention his temporary detention has been extended yet once again.
A close source to the prisoner told HRANA’s reporter: “In the new case he has not been sent to the court so far.”
Motaleb Ahmadian, 31, from Baneh, was arrested on October 5, 2010, and after about 230 days in solitary confinement, on the charge of combat through membership in Kurdish parties, was sentenced to 31 years imprisonment and exile to Minab prison. He also, has a separate case, and is facing the charge of involvement in homicide, the charge that he has denied.

Saeid Hossainzadeh Sent to Medical Furlough

Hassan Rastgari Majd Beaten in Urmia Prison

HRANA News Agency – Hassan Rastgari Majd, political prisoner in Urmia Prison was beaten by prison guards. A number of his teeth were broken. Mr. Rastgari is suffering of vision problems and also hand fracture.
