HRANA News Agency – A group of current and former political prisoners of Rajaei Shahr prison, who have served along with Abdulfattah Soltani, imprisoned lawyer, in a letter expressed their sorrow for the loss of his mother and thanked him for his continuous efforts for human rights.

Mohammadreza Afshar Released from Rajaei Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – Mohammadreza Afshar, a Halgheh theosophy coach, was released from Rajaei Shahr prison of Karaj by using 4 days of furlough and receiving pardon.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammadreza Afshar who had summoned on phone ‘for discussing few issues’, on Monday June 29, was arrested and transferred to Evin prison. The Names of 32 Prisoners who Have Been Charged with Muharebeh
HRANA News Agency – More than 70 political prisoners are kept in Rajaei Shahr and Evin prisons who have been charged with Muharebeh. Considering the recent changes in the penal code, they need to be re-tried. After a re-trial most of these prisoners are expected to be released. HRANA published the names of 32 prisoners of these two prisons who have been charged with Muharebeh.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), considering the fact that article 186 has been superseded, political prisoners with the charge of Muharebeh need to be re-tried. Therefore the names of 32 prisoners who are imprisoned in Evin and Rajaei Shahr prisons on this charge are being published by HRANA. Afshin Sohrab Zadeh Passed Out and Transferred to a Medical Center
HRANA News Agency – Afshin Sohrab Zadeh, exiled political prisoner in Minab prison, who suffers from cancer, following deterioration of his condition collapsed while vomiting blood. He was transferred urgently to the medical centre outside the prison and after couple of hours was returned to prison while he was still unconscious. Mr. Sohrab Zadeh had been unconscious for 17 hours after his condition had deteriorated.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Afshin Sohrab Zadeh, exiled political prisoner in Minab prison, who suffers from cancer, after the enumeration by the prison guards, at 7 pm went to the ward service and vomited blood and fainted and then he was taken to the prison clinic by other inmates while they thought he had passed away. Yaghob Maleki on the Verge of Complete Blindness
HRANA News Agency – Yaghob Maleki, political prisoner in ward 7 of Evin prison, who was a pilot during the war time, is on the verge of complete blindness due to lack of medical care.

A Report about the Great Prison of Tehran

Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand on Hunger Strike in Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist and head of the Kurdistan Human Rights Organization, despite suffering from many diseases in advanced stages, has gone on hunger strike to protest the recent case against him, since May 8th. Mahmood Masoomi Transferred to Ward 2-A of Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – Mahmood Masoomi, a student who was arrested during a protest in front of Dena Tire building, and had been transferred to Great Prison of Tehran, was transferred to ward 2-A in Evin prison, with a detention warrant for two months, issued by Shahid Moghadas court.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), some of the followers of Mohammad Ali Taheri, founder of Halghe Theosophy, were arrested during a protest in front of Dena Tire building, on Thursday May 12. Mahmood Masoomi is one of these arrestees who had his first interrogation session in Shahid Moghadas court of Evin prison on Saturday May 14.
