A political prisoner’s mother and wife died in a car accident

HRANA News Agency – Nahid Rahmani and Ziba Sadegh Zadeh, the mother and wife of the political prisoner, Payman (Amirreza) Arefi died on the way back home from visit, in a car accident.
 
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), earlier in an interview with HRANA, the mother of Payman Arefi, who resided in Tehran, had stated that she was concerned about this prisoner’s exile to Masjed-Soliman prison.
 
Payman Arefi was arrested on May 2009, on charge of supporting monarchical society. First he was sentenced to death but the appeal court the sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
 
This political prisoner, align with his cousin, Arash Rahmani who was executed in 2010, were put to the post-election mass trial court, as a street rioter who was contemplating for armed action against national security and Islamic Republic, while they had been arrested before 2009 election.
 
Ziba Sadegh Zadeh, herself was arrested with Payman Arefi, and spent some times in ward 209 of Evin prison and had been interrogated. Payman Arefi has announced in a letter from prison that he had confessed against himself to make her wife be released.

Masoud Ladoni on medical furlough

HRANA News Agency – Masoud Ladoni has been sent on medical furlough from Karoun prison of Ahwaz.

An entire family imprisoned in medieval condition

HRANA News Agency – Ahmad Daneshpour Moghaddam who suffers from Ulcerative Colitis and mental diseases alike, lost about 40 kilos of his weight because of not having access to medical treatment in the relevant medical clinics out of the prison.
 
According to the report of Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ahmad Daneshpour Moghaddam, 43, the son of Mohsen and graduated of civil engineering was arrested on December 27, 2009 by the Intelligence agents at his home. He was in solitary confinement cells of both 240 and 209 wards for three months and at the end sentenced to death on charge of enmity against God. Amirkhosro Dalir sani was released from the Evin prison

HRANA News Agency – Amirkhosro Dalir sani was released from the Evin prison after serving his imprisonment sentence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), this political prisoner who was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment by the 28 branch of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, finished serving his sentence in ward 350 and was released on December 13, 2013.
He was a member of the Committee on Arbitrary Detention in support of Mir Hossein Mousavi, and was one of the 2009 elections activists and continued his activities in the form of analytic statements, meeting with the victims of the elections and their families of detainees until he was arrested.

A political prisoner committed suicide in prison

HRANA News Agency – Sadegh Khodaverdi the political prisoner in ward 8 of Evin prison committed suicide by stabbing his jugular vein and was transferred to a hospital out of prison.

Abdolreza Ghanbari was exiled to Borazjan

23 political prisoners on one-day hunger strike

HRANA News Agency – At least 23 political and conscientious prisoners of Ghezelhesar, Rajaeishahr and Uremia prison went on hunger strike in a symbolic movement, in response to wave of executions, which has been coinciding since the new administration has come to power.
 
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), this strike which is in response to political executions of Kurd and Baloch prisoners has started on Wednesday November 4th, on those three prisons. 1800 prisoners are still on hunger strike in Ghezel Hesar prison

HRANA News Agency – The strike of more than 1800 death row prisoners of Ghezelhesar prison is continuing.
