Growing Pressure on Sunni Prisoners in Dizel Abad Prison of Kermanshah

HRANA News Agency – Six Sunni prisoners in Dizel Abad prison of Kermanshah, who had been on hunger strike some time ago, to protest against their exile to the infected prisoners ward, were again threatened by prison officials with repeating the former procedure. These prisoners say practicing their religion has caused the authorities to react and increase pressure.

Afshin Hayratian Arrested and Transferred to Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Afshin Hayratian, children’s rights activist and former prisoner of conscience, was arrested on October 20, 2017 by security forces at his own house in Tehran. The Baha’i citizen has been transferred to Evin Prison after being arrested.

The List of Sunni Prisoners in Urmia Prison

HRANA News Agency – A large number of prisoners accused of communicating with Salafist groups in addition to a large number of political and security prisoners are being kept in Urmia prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the political and security prisoners are being kept in Ward 12 of the Central Prison in Urmia for several consecutive years. However, transferring a large number of Sunni prisoners accused of communicating with Salafist groups including Ansar al-Islam and ISIL has increased the population of this ward of prison since several months ago. Two Christians Arrested in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Security forces in Tehran, arrested a Christian couple after summoning them to the intelligence ministry. These Christians have been accused of performing according to rituals and Christianity in a funeral in Beheaht-e-Zahra.

3 Sunni Prisoners on Trial in Urmia

HRANA News Agency – Anvar Khezri, Kamran Shikhe and Khosro Besharat three Sunni prisoners who have been jailed since 2009 and their death sentences were rejected by the Supreme Court in 2016, were transferred to Urmia prison from Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj to be tried again.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Anvar Khezri, Kamran Shikhe and Khosro Besharat three Sunni prisoners who along with Davood Abdollahi, Farhad Salimi, Ghasem Abbeste and Ayoub Karimi have been jailed since December 7, 2009, were transferred to Urmia prison from Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj. Dozens Arrested and Summoned in Ahwaz

HRANA News Agency – Dozens of Arab civilians have been arrested by security forces in different parts of Ahwaz. Local sources estimate the number of detainees to be 24 in addition to 9 other who have been summoned.

Authorities Confirm Seyed Jamal Mosavi’s Execution to His Family

HRANA News Agency – Eventually and after a few days, Seyed Jamal Mosavi’s family was informed that their son had been executed in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj on August 23, and was buried in an unknown location. Mr. Mosavi had been transferred to an unknown location since August 16, he was seen on August 22 for the last time.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on August 27, 2017, following the continuous efforts of the concerned family of Seyed Jamal Mosavi, the authorities of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj informed them that he had been executed on August 23 and his body had been handed over to security forces for burial. 4 Christians Sentenced to 10 Years Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court has sentenced each of Rev. Yousef Nadarkhani and Mohammad Reza Omidi, Mohammad Ali Mosayebzadeh, and Zaman Fadai, on charges of “administering and managing the home churches”, to 10 years in prison and two of them in exile.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), four Christian citizens, pastor Yousef Nadarkhani, Mohammad Ali Mosayebzadeh known as Yasser, Mohammad Reza Omidi known as Johan and Zaman Fadai known as Saheb, attended Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran city, under the chairmanship of Judge Ahmadzadeh, based on the previous warning for a court hearing on their charges on June 14, 2017. Navid Khanjani Was Not Released, Has to Serve Another Year

HRANA News Agency – After 5 years in prison, while prison documents were showing that Navid Khanjani, education rights activist, was going to be released, he was told that one year in prison sentence for his case in Sarand camp in Tabriz, regarding helping victims of the earthquake had been executed and he should serve another year in prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Navid Khanjani, imprisoned human rights activist who is being kept in Rajaei Shahr prison, was supposed to be released by the end of his sentence of 5 years. But in the last minutes he was informed that his one year in prison sentence from the case Sarand camp of Tabriz was in effect and he had to remain in prison. Omar Farhang; 9 Year of Imprisonment Without Medical Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Omar Farhang, political prisoner who is serving his 10 years in prison sentence in exile is currently being kept in central prison of Ardabil. He has been deprived of having medical treatment and being transferred to hospital, despite suffering from different diseases like hemorrhoids and skin diseases, in addition to an appearing lump in his throat that is suspicious of being cancer.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Omar Farhang, born in 1972, is married and father of two children and used to live in Uremia city.
