Rasoul Razavi Ended His Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – While Rasoul Razavi has announced that he has ended his hunger strike, on the forty-fourth day by a short messages, in the central prison of Karaj, Vahid Sayadi Nassiri has been transferred to solitary confinement on the thirty first day of his hunger strike, the left kidney of Hossein Rajabian has been infected and Ali Shariati was taken to a hospital. A number of other political prisoners still continue on their hunger strike.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Rasoul Razavi, political prisoner who had been exiled to the central prison of Karaj, has written a letter, saying that he ended his hunger strike because of the promise of judicial authorities, on the 44th day of his strike, on November 15, 2016.
On the other hand, Vahid Sayadi Nasiri was transferred to the solitary confinement in ward 240 of Evin prison, on the 31st day of his hunger strike. There is no information available about this prisoner’s physical condition.
Vahid Sayadi Nasiri, other political prisoner of Evin prison started his hunger strike on October 16, in protest to being held in limbo, and undecided status of his case for 13 months. Mr. Sayadi was sentenced to 8 years in prison on charges of sacrilege, insulting supreme leader and propaganda against the regime, but after 13 months his appeal court session is yet be held.
Hossein Rajabian, imprisoned artist in ward seven of Evin prison, has got infection in his left kidney, but his treatment has been refused.
This prisoner and his brother, Mehdi Rajabian, who is also on hunger strike in ward eight of this prison, had been notified that their requests for a leave have been rejected by the Prosecutor’s Office.
These two artist imprisoned brothers, who are punitively separated and kept in ward seven and ward eight of this prison, are on hunger strike from October 28. Mehdi Rajabian has been taken to the hospital several times so far because of bleeding in the stomach.
Ali Shariati, other political prisoner on hunger strike in this prison, was transferred to a hospital on the sixteenth day of his hunger strike, because of anesthesia.
This political activist was arrested, when he was “doing administrative work in the municipality”, and was transferred to ward eight of Evin prison to endure five years imprisonment for his conviction and he has gone on hunger strike to protest against this action, since his arrival in the prison.
It is noteworthy that, the hunger strike by Arash Sadeghi in ward eight of Evin prison and Morteza Moradpour, in central prison of Karaj, continues. There is no information regarding the physical condition of these prisoners.
Also, there is no information about the fate of Mohammad Ali Taheri, another prisoner of conscience, and continuity of his hunger strike which was confirmed by his lawyer, last month.
