HRANA News Agency – At least 50 detainees of recent protests were transferred to Zahedan prison from a security agency detention center, allegedly belonging to the Intelligence Ministry, and then were transferred to the security detention center after being fingerprinted on January 10, 2018.

HRANA News Agency – At least four members of the students’ council were arrested by security forces after a joint meeting of members of the student councils at the University of Tehran with the university’s headquarters, which was conducted to track the freedom of detained students.

HRANA -The Center of Statistics at Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRAI) has published a report regarding the recent seven days of protests in Iran which occurred from December 28, 2017 to January 03, 2018. Currently, we have reports on the extent of the protests and the names of arrested individuals as of January 09, 2018.
At the time of compiling this report, the Iranian State had not provided a conclusive report of the protests and it’s under currents. Therefore, this report should be deemed as a cursory review and a collection of the reports of the events rather than a singularly comprehensive one. HRANA News Agency – The authorities, in addition to informing the two deaths in Dorud conflicts, gradually provided more information about hundreds of arrested people in the national protests on fourth days of the popular protests in various cities of Iran. At the same time, it is reported from Evin prison that prison authorities had prepared a certain place for accepting a large number of detainees by evacuating the halls of prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Evin prison authorities have considered a certain place for keeping the detainees in recent days through evacuating the quarantine of ward 4 of the prison, which has a capacity of 180 people.
