HRANA News Agency – Ahmad Karimi, political prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison of Karaj, who is serving his sentence of 15 years since 8 years ago, came to furlough for the first time. Mr. Karimi who had been arrested before elections and during a fabricated trial was illustrated as one of the arrestees of post-election events, had received death sentence in the primary court.

Foad Rezazadeh Returned to Rajaei Shahr Prison by the End of His Furlough
HRANA News Agency – Foad Rezazadeh, Sunni prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison, went back to prison by the end of his furlough. This prisoner was sent to furlough after a 23-day long hunger strike.

One Prisoner Executed in Qazvin Prison
HRANA News Agency – A prisoner with drug related charges was hanged in Qazvin prison. His family had visited him the day before, but they were not informed about this execution.

Hassan Rastegari Majd Still Being Kept in Solitary Confienment
HRANA News Agency – Hassan Rastegari Majd, an Iranian-born Turkish citizen and political prisoner is on hunger strike and is still being kept in solitary confinemen of Orumiyeh Central Prison. While on December 15, due to “his critical condition” the prison doctor was called his cell.

One Prisoner Died in Tabriz Prison / Habib Sasanian in Critical Health Condition
HRANA News Agency – Muhammad Esalari, prisoner in ward 12 in Tabriz Central Prison, following a severe heart pain called for medical attention, but instead of being transferred to the infirmary of the prison, he was accused of malingering by the authorities and transferred to special ward and he eventually lost his life. And also Habib Sasanian, political prisoner in this ward suffers from medical problems and called for medical attention, but he was accused of malingering by the authorities and transferred to special ward in the same way.

Another Group of Mohammad Ali Taheri’s Supporters Submitted Themselves to Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – On December 13, a group of supporters of Mohammad Ali Taheri, submitted themselves to Evin Prison. They considered Mr. Taheri being imprisoned and his disciples being beaten, as unjustified and announced “If having Mr. Taheri’s opinions is a crime so we are guilty and we should be arrested.”

Morteza Moradpoor Released from Central Prison of Tabriz
HRANA News Agency – On December 30, 2016, Morteza Moradpoor political prisoner in Tabriz Central Prison who had ended his hunger strike on its sixty-fifth day was released. Morteza Moradpoor Ended His Hunger Strike
HRANA News Agency – Morteza Moradpoor, political prisoner of central prison of Tabriz, ended his hunger strike after 65 days, on the request of his mother.
