HRANA News Agency – After being on hunger strike for 7 days in Evin prison, the prison officials have not yet responded to Reza Samie Monfared’s demands. An informed source said that due to illness and physical problems, the continuation of his hunger strike might cause a lot of problems for him.

Pouria Ebrahimi Tried in the Revolutionary Court in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The court of Pouria Ebrahimi, civil rights activist was held by Judge Ahmadzadeh in the 26th branch of the revolutionary court. The rest of the hearing was postponed to Wednesday, March 2 after the introduction of a lawyer to study the case.

Saeid Hoseinzadeh Threated to Go on a Dry Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – Saeid Hoseinzadeh, imprisoned civil rights activist who is on hunger strike, wrote a letter to announce that, in case of failure to address his demands in the coming days, he will go on dry hunger strike and will stop drinking water. He wrote that he did not know that activity for the charities and supporting labor children was a criminal offense and would face imprisonment.
According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), this social activist who suffers from heart disease, gastrointestinal and joints problems, has gone on hunger strike since 15 days ago with the demands of “medical furlough or freedom due to the order of inability to endure the punishment” or stopping the moratorium, and said in his letter that he was written on the 9th day of hunger strike, “he has faced 6 kg of weight loss, drop of blood pressure and palpitations”. Abbas Lesani on Hunger Strike in Shiraz Prison

HRANA News Agency – Abbas Lesani, civil rights activist from Ardabil, has announced hunger strike since February 24, in Shiraz prison. His family has also been summoned to the court multiple times.

Mohammad Mozaffari Summoned to the Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Mozaffari, social and nationalist activist was summoned to Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court. This member of the National Front of Students and Graduates Organisation is free on the bail.

2 Civil Rights Activists Arrested in front of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Police arrested Mohammad Nourizad on the second day of his 24-hour-sit-in in front of Evin Prison, along with Davood Ne’mati. Davood Ne’mati has written that the police arrested and dropped them out in another place but Mohammad Nourizad returned and planned to spend the night in front of Evin prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad Nourizad civil rights activist, said earlier that he would run a twenty-four hour protest in front of Evin prison against the travel ban and holding his assets illegally by the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence. Pressures Grow on Prisoners of Mahabad Prison

HRANA News Agency – The misbehavior of Mahabab prison authorities has increased in the past month. Frequent inspections, humiliation and obscenity and beating the prisoners are the issues which have been repeatedly happened many times in this prison during the past month.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the authorities of Mahabab prison inspect the rooms and suites of prisoners frequently because of unknown reasons and in most cases these inspections end to the humiliation and beating the prisoners. 40 Prisoners’ Death Sentences Confirmed During a Week

HRANA News Agency – At least forty prisoners’ death sentences were confirmed last week in Ghezelhesar prison in Karaj. Most of the sentences were announced on Sunday February 2nd.

Amnesty International Calls for Quashing the Convictions of 3 Artists

HRANA News Agency – Amnesty International has called for quashing the convictions including financial fines of the 3 convicted artists. Two musicians Mehdi Rajabian and Yousef Emadi, and a filmmaker Hossein Rajabian have been each sentenced to 6 years in prison and financial fines.

Ali Ahmadi Summoned to the Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – Ali Ahmadi, civil rights activist and residence of Tabriz has been summoned to branch number 2 of the revolutionary court of this city. He will be tried on charge of propaganda against the regime, on April 4, 2016.
